(Hey guys, sorry this is out three days after Christmas. I was having a hard time and my grandparents are visiting so I've been a little bit busy. It's hard trying so much to not be a disappointment to your family when you're disappointed in yourself. Sorry, just needed to rant a little, but here's a belated Christmas present? Hope y'all enjoy)
"You've never celebrated Christmas?!!" Miko shouted. I shook my head and bowed it in shame.
"I cooked food and wrapped Christmas presents. That's as close as I got to a Christmas." I said.
"That's unacceptable! This will be the best first Christmas ever!" Miko shouted and ran off to who knows where.
"Don't know if I should be excited or scared," I said.
"You should be both." Jack laughed. Dad came over and attached a cable to Optimus' arm before putting a needle in mine above my IV.
"This will transfuse the energon and filter it at the same time. It should be done in a half an hour." He explained.
"Thanks, Dad," I said with a smile. He nodded and sent me a small smile before going back to work.
"Well, we're going to go help, Miko. Have fun in here." Jack said and walked off with a wave of his hand. Raf was right behind him and sent me a smile and a wave to which I returned.
I looked down at the needle in my arm and watched the blue liquid slowly flow down and into my arm. It was warm and made my veins glow where it entered.
"Woah, my skin is glowing," I stated and Dad came over to look.
"Hmm, it seems that it is mixing well with your red blood cells so far. Let me know if you feel nauseous or anything, there is something I must do." He said and left the medbay. I felt Optimus shift under me and turned to look up at him.
"Hi," I said with a small smile.
"Hello." He mused.
"I'm not making you uncomfortable am I?" I asked.
"No no, sorry I'm just not used to relaxing for so long. I'm still a bit tired from last night." He said with a small yawn.
"You can sleep if you'd like, I'll keep you safe," I said with a wide smile.
"Thank you Y/n, but I can't risk anything happening to you." He said and poked my cheek with his finger.
"Daw, you care about me." I cooed.
"Yes, yes I do." He said with a smile. Blood rushes to my face and I ducked my head.
"Opt-oops." A new voice spoke and I whipped my head around to look at whoever it was. Arcee stood in the door and stared at us with a weird expression. "Sir what are you doing?"
"Y/n needs an energon transfusion. I am her donor." He explained and she rose an eyebrow.
"I thought energon kills humans." She spoke.
"It does, Y/n is a hybrid. Her father is Cybertronian and her mother is human." Optimus said and I nodded.
"Alright then, well when you're done I'd like to speak with you if you get the chance." She said and excused herself from the room.
"I have a question real quick if you don't mind," I said as I turned to Optimus. He quirked an eyebrow and waited for my question. "Is it weird for you guys to have u-um, interspecies relationships?"
Optimus stayed quiet for a minute and I started to hyperventilate a little bit.
What if I'd crossed a boundary? He can still reject me and after that maybe he will. I turned away from him and hid my face.
