"Woo-hoo!" Miko yelled, sliding down the railing from the human platform. I laughed and caught her at the bottom, making sure she landed safely. "How does freedom taste?"
"It tastes great." I chuckled.
"I bet!" Raf laughed.
"Hey Y/n! Catch!" Jack shouted, throwing a football my way. I jumped and grabbed it, laughing whilst doing so and then threw it back. Dempsey barked and ran and jumped in between us almost like we were playing monkey in the middle and he was the monkey.
"Over here!" Raf shouted, holding up his arms. Jack threw it to him and he caught it with a smile. Raf tossed it to me and I ducked under Miko as she tried to grab me and ran to the other side of the base. I dropped the ball and yelled "touchdown!"
Everyone laughed and we formed up together and I asked, "Who wants to play Gran Turismo?"
"Me!" The other three yelled and I laughed as they raced to the couch and fought over the controllers. I joined them on the platform and sat on the back of the couch. Just as Jack and Raf were about to start the game, a large set of footsteps came from the barracks hall.
"Sorry to interrupt, but may I borrow Y/n for a moment?" Optimus asked from behind us. I tilted my head back and looked at him upside-down with a smile and a chuckle.
"She's all yours," Jack said with a laugh as he rough-housed with Raf, trying to get him to pick the wrong car. I jumped onto his outstretched hand and climbed up to his shoulder.
"What's up?" I asked as he walked down the hall.
"I was wondering if you would like to go somewhere with me." He said.
"Where to?" I asked.
"It's a secret." He said and I looked over at him.
"What kind of secret?" I asked.
"The kind of secret that no one else on the team knows about." He said. My eyebrows shot up and I got curious.
"Like you're keeping it a secret from them on purpose?" I asked. He nodded with a hum as he walked into his room. I hummed in reply and hopped onto his workstation, sitting criss-cross applesauce.
"Would you like to go?" He asked.
"Yeah! Of course, I would!" I said excitedly. "When?"
"In a few hours. Where we are going the time zone is a bit different." He said.
"Ohh, so it's either an island or on a different continent?" I asked. He nodded and I smiled. "Awesome, I've never been outside of the US."
"Well, I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do. I will be introducing you to a few people, but we cannot speak of the war ok?" He asked.
"Yeah, of course. I'll keep quiet. Do I need to be Zodiac for this or can I be me?" I asked.
"You may be whomever you like." He said.
"Then I'll be me," I said cheerfully. He chuckled and patted my head with his finger. I laughed and leaned into his finger.
~Time Skip (~3 hours)~
"Are you ready to go?" Optimus asked. I nodded and climbed onto his shoulder. I grabbed my new US Navy hoodie that Agent Fowler had left for me before I 'died' and slipped it over my head, covering my metal tattoos and the scar on my neck. After Optimus made sure I was secure, he walked through the open groundbridge.
On the other side, it was daytime instead of early morning and we were in what looked like a firehouse.
"Woah, where are we?" I asked Optimus quietly.
