"Little one?" I asked and Ratchet went stiff.

"I-Uh, sorry. It just slipped." He apologized.

"No it's alright, I kinda like it," I said and he gave me a smile.

"Alright let's get you out of here. You don't have to take you IV bags with you, but I want to leave the smaller part in for later." Ratchet explained as his holoform disconnected the tubes from my IV.

"Cool. It'll be nice to try and walk by myself." I said jokingly.

"I'm sure it will." Ratchet said and helped me up and out of my blankets. He helped me down the stairs slowly and to the ground.

"Hey, could we just walk around the base for a little bit first? I'd like to stretch my legs some more." I asked and he nodded.

"Just take it slow." He said and walked with me as I made my way to the main room. I got to the bottom of the stairs to the human area and sat down for a minute.

"Wow, I'm really out of shape." I huffed and Ratchet scoffed.

"You are most certainly out of shape. You have no muscle density and almost bled to death two days ago. You're going to feel a lot heavier than before, but you have not gained any weight. Your blood deficiency will make you weak so that is why you have to take it slow." He said and I smiled a little.

"Thanks, Dad." I laughed a little and Ratchet went silent. "Oh geez sorry, sorry. I slipped too."

"Don't apologize. Technically you are my legal daughter now." Ratchet said lightly.

"I guess you're right. Do you mind?" I asked and he shook his head.

"You can call me whatever you're comfortable with." He said and I lent my head on his shoulder.

"Thanks...Dad. You know in the past, I've never felt comfortable calling any of my foster parents or anyone Dad. You're the only one." I said fondly and he patted my back.

"I am proud to have earned that amount trust from you." He said.

"I feel like I'm getting really sappy, how about that drive?" I asked with a small smile.

"Of course." He said and his eyes went blank for a minute. His real form drove out from the medbay and stopped in front of us before opening its passenger door. I got in all by myself and his holoform disappeared with a smile. We drove out of the base and onto the dark backroads of Jasper Nevada.

"I think Optimus is just a little overwhelmed. Only having known each other for two days is moving a little fast." Ratchet said.

"I know, and to be honest I'm overwhelmed too. I got kicked out by Denice and Brad, almost died, got adopted again, and now I've met my soulmate. I can't figure out what the hell is going on anymore." I groaned and threw my head against the seat.

"Wait your adoptive parents kicked you out?" He asked.

"Uh...yeah. They got tired of me and threw me out after everything that happened." I said and Ratchet hummed.

"I'm sure you've heard it a million times so I won't repeat anything. All I want to say is that we will never let you go. You're family." He said and I smiled a bit.

"Thank you," I said happily.

"We've been out here for a while, would you like to go back?" He asked and I nodded.

"Yeah I'm a little tired," I said with a light chuckle.

"Feel free to sleep on the way back since it will take thirty minutes or so." He said.
