'Where the hell is she?' I thought to myself. As soon as I woke up, I realised that she had gone and I tried looking in the bathroom but she wasn't there. The door creaked open- it was Mia, except it looked as though something was troubling her. 'Where have you been?!' I frowned, 'I've been looking everywhere for you.' 'Um...' She hesitated, 'I went to get a drink.' 'You okay?' She nodded her head yes. 'You look pale.' She faked a smile and shrugged, 'I better get home.' so she got her shoulder bag that was beside my cupboard. 'Wait.' I snapped as she was about to leave the room. 'What?' I knelt down on one knee before pulling out a diamond ring in a box from my pocket. 'Mia, will you marry me?'
