Josh Hutcherson FanFic Part 2.

I couldn't believe it! I had just crashed into Josh Hutcherson and sent him to the floor in pain! My head was spinning in disbelief. But all i could do was quickly help him up, say a brief apology and run off leaving him mid-sentence, to go to the nearest Police Officer I could find and ask as many questions i could before running out of breath!

"What happened? Is everyone okay? Who's hurt? Can i go in? Is my Dad okay??" Rushed out of my mouth before I knew what was happening.

The Police Woman i had just enlisted to answer all my thoughts looked taken aback in shock, then calmly answered with "It's all okay, there's no need to panic! It was just some kids prank calling and it got out of hand. No body is hurt and I'm sure your Dad is fine! But I'm afraid you won't be able to enter the building for a while as a safety precaution". 

All of this new information passed onto me stopped my immediate shaking, but i was still a little jumpy with the shock of something going horrible wrong to my Dad. I pushed the bad images out of my mind and focused on, he was alright, it was only a prank call that went out of hand. But i couldn't help thinking 'What if, it wasn't just a prank call?' Or 'What if he was seriously hurt?' 'What would i do then??'. 

I started to feel dizzy with these questions that I failed to answer when a hand was placed gently on my shoulder. I knew it was probably meant with no harm or aggression, but i was still getting used to this place and not everything felt safe. So before i was aware of my intentions i flew around punching the owner of the hand, square in the jaw. 

I didn't notice who it was until blood was splattered over my arm ... Then it dawned on me.

I just PUNCHED Josh Hutcherson in the face... not just the face ... the jaw! This was not my lucky day!

 After Recovering from the initial shock of punching Josh in his Jaw, I took him to the nearest Cafe in hope of some ice to put on it and to buy him a drink in order to say sorry, after all- i had already hurt him twice in the space of about ten minutes! 

We sat down on the ring of sofa's by the wall drinking hot chocolate unsure of what to say to each other.
After about two minutes of an awkward silence consisting of sipping and too much eye contact making me uncomfortable, causing me to fidget in my chair. Josh made the first move in attempt of conversation.

"So, you always buy your victims a drink after?" He forced out of his slightly swollen jaw jokingly, then giggling to himself adorably hoping to put me at ease.

I instantly saw this as an advantage to come off in the right impression, but being me i couldn't think of anything witty or clever to say, and ended up just shaking my head in disbelief at this question.

"Okaay, not an easy crowd to please then?" He said, still giggling at his own expense.

"Sorry" I managed to blurt out surprising myself in the process, "I'm just still in shock at the scene back there!" My voice sounded at ease yet scared.

He instantly picked up on my emotions even though i was trying my best to hide them, this made me even more uncomfortable and i tried to change the subject hoping he wouldn't read too far into it.

"So what brings you round here?" I spat out before he could reply.

"I'm visiting a friend at the moment!" He replied, taking the hint of not wanting to talk about my thoughts.

"Oh, cool" I could tell this wasn't going to be a very good conversation unless something amazing happened here and now ... until then i think I've basically ruined all chances of him ever speaking to me again ... 

It couldn't have been better timing! The sweet vibration in my pocket that signaled my phone receiving a text message that could only be from the sweet hands of Ruby! 

My face lit up when I unlocked the screen to my phone and without thought to what Josh would think read the text of my best friend to put me in a lighter mood.

It read: "Hahaa, so how is my babe?? Studying i hope? ;) JOKES! Enjoying yourself i hope!? Meet any guys recently?? ;) Introduce me!! :D Hehe love ya!! ♥♥ "

This was the typical message from Ruby, she was always the 'boy magnet' of our group, where as i was the one trapped in her own thoughts, i never really had much interest in having a boy friend. The idea of it in High school freaked me out! The thought of sharing my most personal thoughts and feelings with another person scared me, i was so used to holding back my thoughts that if i shared them with one person, i was likely to share them with everyone else. And i didn't even share them with Ruby, how would i share them with someone i trust even less?

No, i never wanted a boyfriend. It was good like that, i was happy, my friends were happy, it was all good.

After reading the text from Ruby i found myself miles away from Josh, sat on the other side of the table to me still clutching his jaw with some ice. I snapped out of my brief daydream about mine and Ruby's last encounter which was basically us, ice cream, at the park ... it was a normal day, we had ice cream and we were at the park- but when your with Ruby, any normal thing like that can turn into the most fun ever!

When i looked up from my phone giggling to my self quietly i found Josh staring at me with slight worry.
This just made me laugh even more.

Thanks to Ruby i finally felt at ease talking to Josh, he picked up quickly on the lighter mood and took advantage telling some of the worst and most random jokes of all time...

"One day a chicken met James Bond on the side of the road, James said 'Hi, I'm Bond- James Bond- What's your name?' The chicken replied with 'Ken- Chic Ken' ! " Josh said barely able to keep the laughter in.

"How do you come up with these AWFUL jokes!?" I said staring at him in dis-belief secretly trying to keep the giggling to my self.

"Awww, come on! That one was alright!" He tried to say in his defense over the small giggles that remained from his 'hilarious' joke.

He had been telling jokes to me for about half an hour now and each time they got slightly worse, but the worse they got- the more unbearably funny they were! I couldn't take it any more and collapsed onto the table with laughter, Josh following shortly after.

It was all thanks to Ruby's text that now, i was talking to Josh as if i'd known him for years! It felt am-ah-zing! 

My trouser pocket started vibrating again, making me giggle even more, so i took it out hoping for a text from Ruby- which today have bought me so much luck- instead to find one from my Dad.

"Where are you? Are you okay? Come home ASAP please, i was worried sick about you when i came back! If your busy then text me back soon! Okay, love you lots hun xxx" 

My dad!! I had completely forgotten about even telling him i was safe since Josh started to tell all those jokes! I thought I'd better go and see him as he'd been worrying.

I explained my situation about my Dad to Josh, and obviously he understood! His enchanting eyes found mine and with a knowing smile he took my phone, jotted down my number onto his phone and enclosed my hands round the phone once again.

"My name is spelled C-A-I-T-L-Y-N by the way" I said winking as i walked away leaving him typing my name into his phone to save to his contacts list. 

I contained my happiness until i turned the corner to my block of flats, where i did a little jump and squeal of joy.
