Josh's POV:
I knew there was something there, she wasn't telling me something, something personal. I didn't want to push her to tell me, we'd only known each other for a few days. I tried to cheer her up by paying for our drinks and then was about to take her to my favorite place of all time.
We walked out the cafe and i opened the car door for her, i couldn't keep my eyes off her while she was getting in the car, her glossy brown hair waving over her shoulders. It looked different to the other day, but i couldn't quite tell how. Either way she looked beautiful. Her eyes were sparkling in the sunlight, i couldn't help wondering weather they were just teary. They were a gorgeous colour! A mix of blue and green that really stood out near the middle, then as they swirled round to the outside there was a beautiful brown, clouded over with a hazy grey. Magnificent!
I knew it was a risky move, but i slid across the bonnet, trying to look cool! I immediately lost grip and slammed onto the floor. I could tell she was holding in the laughter, but i was glad she seemed happier. I got into the car swiftly going slightly red as she watched me. Then drove off blasting music loudly to take the tension off us.
About 5 minutes through the journey she burst out with laughter, unable to hold it in anymore. I looked over to her slightly, her eyes were streaming with water and her cheeks went slightly rosy. I couldn't help thinking how amazing she looked. The happiness in her eyes, her lips- so soft, so full.
"im sorry" she said, sounding sin sear, yet still giggling at my fall, "You cheered me up though" she winked at me cheekily.
"whatever" I replied, trying to sound annoyed, but it didn't work, she knew i was joking.
"Where are we anyway!?" She said, confused.
We had arrived, i stopped the car and got out. She was in as much awe as i was. It was more beautiful than i had hoped! The Orange of the sky mixing in with the red in a perfect mist, the golden sun setting slowly over the horizon. It was truly gorgeous! It was perfect!
We went and sat down by the stream, the grass was dry and soft and the water was tuneful. I looked cautiously over at her admiring the scene. I couldn't help it, my heart beat faster. There was something about this girl that intrigued me.
Slowly she brought her hand up to her opposite arm and pinched herself, as she took her hand away her arm started to bleed. I stared at her distracted and all she managed to say was "I needed to check i wasn't dreaming!"
I giggled slightly because i knew how she felt, i was convinced myself this was a dream too.
My eyes fluttered over her face, her bone structure, her eye brows. The things you don't generally look at. I swallowed hard and she turned her head to face me. Even though she was staring square at me i couldn't stop searching her face, looking at her features. Her jaw line, her neck, her eyes- those eyes. We stared into each others eyes for a while, then she broke the contact, moving hers down to look at my lips, i continued to stare at them. The long eye lashes blinking quickly every now and then, the mystical colours glinting in the sunset.
I reached my hand up, and stroked her cheek. The cold skin, immediately warmed by my fingers. A smile spread quickly across her face and she looked up at me, our eyes finding each other once again. We sat there like that for at least 3 minutes before i realized her arm was seriously bleeding from her pinch earlier. I took my hand slowly away and grabbed a plaster from the car, washing her arm off with the icy water that made her shiver a little, then placed the plaster carefully on the cut after drying her arm with my jumper sleeve.
It was starting to get dark so I decided to take us back. We both walked over to the car and before getting in, i hugged her. Embracing her. I don't know why i felt the need to, i just believed she needed a hug.
