I shot up in bed and a wave of panic spread over me. Stood there in front of me was a Police man, and behind him Josh and i'm presuming Josh's Dad.
"Hello, ermm, what are you doing here?? What's going on?"
The Police officer looked over to Josh, he stepped forwards to me and said "Get dressed and meet us in theliving room, we need to tell you something."
He turned around and walked out, his Dad and the police officer following shortly after. I didn't have time to think about my clothing choice and threw on my dark blue denim shorts and my black vest top and a light blue un zipped hoodie.
I walked out into the living room and Josh signaled for me to sit next to him, i noticed his helmet on the table next to us and his motorbike keys next to me on the arm of the sofa. I turned my attention to the police man and he just stared at me. There was someone missing.
DAD!
"Where's my Dad!?" I was looking round frantically to see if he was behind me, but Mr Hutcherson just shook his head. My eyes began to water as i was bracing myself for the worst.
"I'm afraid I'm here to talk to you about just him", The police officer answered my question. "You see, we believe, when he left what ever job he was doing last nigh, he was shot. We don't know who it was yet, but the shot was to kill. It hit him in the middle of the temple and killed him straight away. We were notified immediately and an ambulance was called by the family in the house nearby. But even so, it was too late. I'm so sorry."
Dead! No! He can't be!! I only saw him last night! I refused to believe this and started to scream. "NO! NO! He can't be!! DAD!! DAD WHERE ARE YOU?" I was searching the flat screaming for him, tears pouring down my face. Josh held me and i screamed for Dad. I kept screaming, and screaming. Until i realized it was no use. No matter how much i screamed, he wasn't going to come back to me.
I pushed Josh away, grabbed the helmet and keys and sprinted out the door and down the stairs before they knew what i was doing. I ran out the front doors and over to Josh's bike. I knew i was being stupid but i needed to get out of there as fast as i could. I unlocked the bike and rode off.
I had been riding for over 10 minutes and no one had bothered to follow me, but suddenly my phone was vibrating making me loose focus on the road and the next thing i knew everything was black...
Darkness, everywhere, that's the last thing i remember, i opened my eyes trying to get the darkness away from me. I had to blink multiple times for them to adjust to the bright lights hovering above me. I couldn't remember anything before darkness. I attempted to lift my head but it hurt so much that i passed out yet again.
The next time i awoke i felt better. The first question that came to my head was, Where am i?
Apparently i had voiced this out loud with out realizing because there was a Boy, sat on a chair who answered me, "You're in hospital."
Hospital? I had to think for a while about what a hospital was, but when i remembered my next question was, why?
I apparently had no control over what thoughts i voiced because this one came out clear as day light again, and again, the mysterious boy sat on the chair by my bed answered me. "You crashed my bike, don't you remember?"
Remember? No! All i remember is darkness. I looked over at the boy again and he sat me up. "You don't remember it do you?"
I looked at him, a blank expression on my face and shook my head. I don't know what he wanted me to remember, but whatever it was there was no way it was there.
