I woke up in the morning from my nightmares, the screaming, the blood, the face of my brother slipping slowly to his death, to find my room, the room that yesterday had no personal touches to, none of my belongings in, filled with so much stuff, clothes were hung up in the wardrobe and the door was left skilfully open for me to see.
I got out of bed and walked around, hoping maybe some memories would come back to me, nice memories.
But nothing happened, none of this triggered anything. I started to wonder weather this was my things at all, weather I actually had any belongings! But then I saw a diary. My diary? It was locked with a padlock, but there was no key. This didn't seem to matter to me as I knew what to do. I grabbed a paper clip off the desk and straightened it out, shoved it into the padlock and started moving it about.
I had no idea how I knew to do this, but the doctor did say I would have my natural instincts. The lock clicked open and I began to read. But apparently I wasn't much of a writer, the last time I had written in this was what looked like my 15th Birthday ... But the things it said, I knew instantly what this was about, and the images flashed through my mind once again...
They were interrupted, thankfully, by Josh and Connor knocking on my door. They seemed to be arguing as to who could come in first, so I opened the door for them and both shot in at once. Josh stood my by side, but Connor sat on the edge of my bed. I was still in my pj's but neither of them seemed to mind.
"How do you like your room?" Josh was the first to ask, leaving Connor sat there mouth wide open as if he had just stolen the words right from it.
"I love it! Did you do this?" I directed the question at Josh but Connor was fastest to answer this time, "It was my idea, that's what him and mum were doing last night, they went to visit your flat and got your stuff, then when they came back, we waited till you were asleep and put it all in here!"
He looked massively pleased with him self as he had managed to beat Josh to the explanation. Even though it was Connors initial idea I turned to Josh and gave him a hug first, thanking him for his efforts. Then once I was let go by of Josh, I turned to Connor and did the same.
They both left after, and I got dressed from the many clothes hung up in my wardrobe. I pulled on a pair of green shorts and a white floaty top that seemed comfortable. As I made my way down stairs I could hear Connor saying something to Josh, "So, you like her don't you?" Josh looked round at Connor and replied, "No, what? We're friends!"
Who were they talking about? It felt wrong listening in, but I was so curious to find out who they were on about.
"Aww come on! I saw that look you gave me when she hugged me, when my arm were around her! You couldn't help but give me the evils! It's so obvious! Just admit it, you. Like. Her!"
Josh smacked Connor on the arm and walked out the room. After waiting a couple of seconds I walked in to find Connor watching TV on the sofa, feet laid out on the table. I gave him a quick smile and walked through the other door, I presumed it lead to the kitchen, even though I had never been in here I had seen Josh's mum appear through here with a glass of water for me the previous day.
I strolled in and my breath was taken again, I presumed they were rich, but they never really flaunted it much, even though the house was magnificent! The kitchen was so homely, yet looked so professional! I saw Mrs Hutcherson cooking some breakfast and she looked over to me and smiled. I smiled back politely and sat down at the breakfast bar.
"Would you like any sweetie?" She held up a glass of orange juice and I nodded my head, "Yes please" I said smiling, this all seemed so normal. It was ordinary, but for some reason that didn't sit right with me.
