Josh began to lean in, slowly shortening the distance between our lips. My heart beat got faster and faster, I could hear the blood rushing past my ears. Before I could make any sense of this Josh pressed his lips against mine. Fireworks were going off in my head! I saw darkness as my eye lids dropped closed and my hands found their way up, gripping behind his jaw.
Josh slid his hands round my waist, pressing my body closer to his. My head began to spin and my heart, filled with joy, was beating quickly, but steadily. When I think back to it now, that moment was the most romantic I can remember. Of course I still can't remember a lot, but still...
The eerie glow of the moonlight reflecting off my fair skin, enlightening my eyes and bringing out their colour made me look so much better! The delightful smell of lavender still filled the air, and we were both stood, together, in the most gorgeous spot, of the most magnificent garden I've ever seen!
There were flowers gathered all around us, trees in a perfect symmetrical circle. The fountain that I could hear musically trickling was just a few feet away and behind that, a stunning, shimmering lake! Lilly pads topped it and many water plants grew around the edge, their leaves poking out of the surface. Tiny little ripples began to fill the water, I noticed a few wet dropps planting them selves on my head while mine and josh's lips were still locked. Josh deepened the kiss, and I didn't stop him. Even though thoughts were still jumbled in my head, I kept kissing him. Rain began to pour havily down on us, and finally we had to pull away from each other and find shelter or risk being soaked to the bone. Josh flashed a massive smile towards me, grabbed my hand and lurched me forward to run along side him.
My legs swiftly moved forward across the slippery grass with ease, whereas Josh slipped multiple times on patches of mud. I had no idea where he was taking me, but I decided not to question him. We passed rows upon rows of gorgeous flower patches, and hedge rows, and various plants that grew were blossiming in Josh's garden. Before I knew it we had stopped in front of a tree, yet I still didn't question him. Josh turned his head to look at me, and slowly moved forwards to stand next to the trunk. I tipped my head up, and took a look at the tree. It looked stable, the trunk was thick and oviously able to hold a great amount of weight. Luckily I wasn't that heavy anyway. It looked climbable, I hadn't taken into mind that I had no memories of climbing a tree before in my life. But my body seemed to know exactly what I was doing. I looked over to Josh and got a nod of approval, as if he knew exactly what I was about to do. I stood forwards, sheltered from the rain by the vast amount of leaves that each branch bore. My arms reached up high and my feet placed themselves carefully upon the trunk. Grabbing at the nearest branch to me, I hoisted my self onto it and began to climb higher. I stopped after climbing about six meters into the air, and took a look around to where I should go, I spotted a fork in the branches slightly above me to the left, and began to make my way there.
I gave a quick glance down to search for Josh, but there was no need as he was only about two meters below me, making his way towards me quickly. My legs and arms moved swiftly through the branches and once I was at the fork of the tree, I sat down and patiently waited for Josh to find me. It was so peaceful here. The slight pitter patter of the rain dropping onto the cover of leaves above me, the sweet, yet musty smell of wood swirled round me. I sat there comfortably while my hand was gripped onto the branch beside me. Josh finally reached me and sat, perched onto a branch near me, his eyes fixed onto the sky in the distance. The stars were twinkling as bright as Josh's eyes, each one with a different story to tell.
"Did you know, that the stars we see right now, tonight, were actually from thousands of years ago... Each star up there is no longer in exsistence because it's burned out, yet we can still see it!" He sounded so interested as he was talking, I gave it a litle thought, "Really?" I couldn't understand how that's possible, we're seeing the past, right infront of us!? Josh gave a little nod, so I continued, "But, how is that possible?" My eyes crumpled into a frown and I tilted my head to the side, I generally did this when I was concentrating a lot. Josh looked over to me, smiled and shook his head slightly. " I don't know, I just read it somewhere and thought it was intersting, just thought I'd bring it up to sound smart"
