tyler knew that josh wasn't stable enough to continue the school day

ignoring joshs protests, tyler cradled him in his arms and walked him right back through the school doors and and set him down in his jeep

he moved his hand to joshs curls running his fingers through the purple mess, it was a cute mess though

"tylerrr, i cant skip school" josh complained crossing him arms over his chest

tyler was now seated in the drives side,

"joooosh, yes you caaaannnnn. and your knuckles are going to bruise if i don't take care of them"

josh looked down and saw that his knuckles were in fact starting to bruise. he knew he wasnt going to win this fight, so he decided he'd just pout

"fine."

tyler gave a satisfied sigh and started the jeep driving to his own house

once they arrived to tyler's house, the taller boy quickly walked to joshs side and opened his door

"up." josh was confused but complied anyways by wrapping his legs around the boys waist and his arms around his neck.

almost like a koala.

tyler kissed joshs neck lightly while walking him through the entry way and into tyler's bathroom that is connected to his room.

josh only burried his face in tyler's neck trying the hide his blush

tyler chuckled slightly because he could practically feel the blush on joshs cheeks against his neck

once he sat josh on the the bathroom counter he went searching for the first aid kit that he kept in the room.

soon after he retrieved the package, he headed downstairs to grab an ice pack

"i'll be right back love"

josh blushed at the nickname

tyler was head over heals for josh. he started noticing him sophomore year, what really caught his eye was joshs blue hair. this was before he had dyed it purple, obviously. ever since then he's been intrigued with the shorter boy. when he was placed in the same group as josh, tyler realized how much his small crush had grown from sophomore to senior year. if he was being honest with himself, the crush was pretty big.

finally, ice pack in hand, he hurried back upstairs to where josh is located

he walks into the bathroom and opens the medical back that he had grabbed earlier

"this might sting a little okay?" tyler looked at josh expectantly wanting him to be okay with it

josh nodded his head, "okay, yeah"

tyler brought joshs knuckles to his lips and kissed them softly before pouring little amounts of hydrogen peroxide on the opens gashes on his delicate hands

"tss, ah, ow, yeah, that stings" josh tried pulling his hand back, but tyler kept a firm grip on him and only held it tighter.

"it's okay josh, i'm almost done" once he finished he wrapped the smaller boys hand in ace bandage and then lightly placed the ice pack on it

"there you go, allll done" of course he wasn't completely finished until he littered the injured hand in a million kisses

"okay now i'm officially done." tyler stepped back and looked at josh, taking in his appearance. he wasn't gonna lie, josh looked hot all helpless and needy.

"tyleeeerrrrr" josh stuck his arms out asking the older one to come closer

"yes love?"

"i'm sorry that you had to see me like that, it's been years since i've acted like that" josh looked up and met tyler's eyes. "that's why i took boxing over the summer, to control my anger- but he said something about my dad, a-and something just snapped inside me" josh looked down at his bandaged hand shamefully

"hey, hey, it's okay josh, okay? you can fight this, i know you can." tyler was rubbing reassuring circles into the small of joshs back. "how about we go downstairs and put on a movie and cuddle some, hm?"

josh smiled at the proposal (he was also smiling at his own proposal today) "yeah okay"

once they got to the couch tyler turned on the tv and flicked through the movies until he found what he wanted

josh fell asleep while curled into tyler only 20 minutes into the movie

he didn't mind though, he liked that josh needed him today, he was able to protect the small boy

of course josh is able and independent all on his own, but he saw a different side of the smaller boy that morning

he couldn't find the correct words to describe how he felt about the situation, but he was glad he was there before anything too serious happened

at that thought, tyler leaned down kissed the top of josh's head, he really could get used to this
