Chapter 2

Harry's POV

"Come on you two! Daddy's going to be late!" I said trying to get my girls ready.

"No! Stay and play!" Darcy said

"Darcy please!" I said trying to get a shirt on her and finally got it on her

I then turned to courtney and got her dressed.I then put their shoes on and we left. Once we arrived at the bakery I work at I got the twins out and walked into the bakery and clocked in. I then put the twins at a booth so they could color.

"hello barbara i'm sorry I'm a little late" I said and put my apron on.

"It's fine dear. Clock in and get to work" Barbara said. I hurried and clocked in and started my shift. It normally wasn't too busy on the weekend. I was giving some lady her order when I saw the twins running around.

I looked around and saw barbara.

"I'm sorry Barabara. The twins are getting antsy. I didn't have anyone to watch them" I said

"It's fine Harry why don't you work and I take them to the park or something. I'll bring them back before your shifts over."
"Of course." I said and went over to the twins. When they saw me they ran over with a smile on their face.

"Daddy!" Darcy said

"Daddy done?" Courtney asked

"No princess but miss Barbara is going to take you to the park while daddy works" I said with a smile

"NO!" Courtney said and clung to me while her sister cheered.

"Tell you what if you're good for miss barbara i'll take you and your sister out for a surprise after work okay?" I said looking and signing at Courtney.

"Okay daddy" Courtney sniffled and I hugged her.

"I love you" I said and then repeated the process with Darcy.

"Okay Barbara there ready to go" I said and then barbara came over and they were about to leave but then courtney came over and I bent down to her level again and she put her hands on my cheeks and kissed me.

"I love yew too daddy!" Courtney said and then ran back to her sister and Barbara. I hope Courtney would be okay. I had no worries about her sister.

Courtney's POV

Sissy and I went to park with Miss Barbara while daddy worked. I miss daddy. I no like be away from him. Once we were at the park sissy ran off to the swings and I just stood there.

"Go on sweety. Go play" Miss Barbara said while she sat down on a bench. I went over to the sand box and started playing. I was having fun until two boys came up to me.

"Hey look it's deaf girl!" a boy named Tommy in my class said.

"What you doing here?" another boy named Alex said

"I play here" I said

"Well we no want you here!" Alex said and pushed me. I started to tear up.

Tommy then grabbed me by my shirt and pulled me towards him.

"Yeah we no want freak here!" Tommy said and threw me to the ground and I started to cry. I then started to feel pain I looked and saw that they were kicking me.

"Leave me alone!" I said

"Look Alex she trying to be tough!" Tommy said with a laugh. I then felt one of them hit me in the face.

"Hey! Leave my sissy alone!" I heard Darcy yell. Darcy then got in front of me and pushed Tommy and Alex.

"Yew better watch self!" Alex said and left with his brother tommy.

"You okay sissy?" Darcy said and help me up. I continued to cry

"They mean to me. I w-want d-daddy" I cried

"We go see him now kay? Let's ask miss barbie!" Darcy say and grab my hand we run over to miss barbie.

"Miss barbie we go see daddy?" Darcy asked

"Oh dear Courtney what happened?" miss barbie asked me

"Mean kids hurt me. I want daddy!" I whined

"Okay let's go" Miss barbie said and led us back to the bakery. Once there I saw daddy by the counter and I ran over to him in tears.

Harry's POV

I was just finishing up my shift when I felt something hold on my leg. I looked down to see Courtney.

"Hi princess!" I said with smile but when Courtney looked at me my heart broke. She had tears in her eyes and the side of her face was a little red. I went to pick her up but she flinched. So I carefully picked her up and held her.

"What's wrong baby?" I asked courtney but she continued to cry. I then felt a tug on my leg and saw Darcy.

"Mean kids at park daddy! They hurt sissy!" Darcy said and when I heard that my heart felt like it had broken in half. Why would anyone be mean to my little girl.

"Barbara can I clock out and head home?" I asked

"Of course Harry" Barbara said and I clocked out. Once I was done that I grabbed Darcy's hand and headed home with my girls. Once we were there Darcy ran off to play while I held a sobbing Courtney trying to calm her down.

"Daddy why Tommy and Alex mean?" Courtney asked me. Tommy and Alex must have been the two that were picking on Courtney.

"I don't know princess. Some people are just mean" I said and set her down in my lap on the couch.

"Why?" Courtney asked

"Because they want to be. You know people are mean to daddy sometimes too" I said

"Why? Daddy nice" Courtney said

"Well daddy likes boys and to some people thats not good" I said trying to explain it to my two year old.

"Oh" Courtney said

"Why don't we get you cleaned up and have a movie night?" I said to courtney and she just nodded. I then cleaned up Courtney and put both her and her sister in pajamas. We then sat on the couch and ate pizza and watched disney movies. I don't know why someone would want to hurt my daughter. She never told me why kids are mean to her. Is it because she's a little different? What am I going to do? I can't take her out of the daycare at school because it's free to students with kids. Another one would be more expensive. My mom and gemma work. What am I going to do?!
