I woke up to the sound of sirens. My eyes shot open and I sat up confused for a minute. I sighed when I realized where I was. I looked around for the women who were with me but they were gone.

I got up, stretched and brushed my hair with my hands.

I walked outside to see the women standing next to a tall white chubby man.

They all looked at me when I stepped on the porch and Rebecca had the look of fear in her eyes.

I stood there as they all turned back to the man, who was yelling at this point

"So that's the bitch huh?" He said as he gestured towards me

I walked over to them when I heard what he said

"Is there a problem?" I asked

Rebecca grabbed my hand as if to say "stop"

"Yeah we gotta problem. You sleepin in my house for free that's the problem" the man said as he got closer to me

"I'm sorry. I had no where to sleep last night. They said it was okay"

"Oh so it was yall who let the stray in huh? Which one specifically did it?" He looked at the girls. They cowered in fear when finally Rebecca began to speak up

"Last nigh-"

"Last night I begged her to let me stay the night. I promised I'd be gone by morning but slept in. I told her I would pay for the night too" I cut her off as I pulled out my wallet and handed the man $50

He smiled and turned towards Rebecca

"if this ever happens again. I'll do worse"

"Worse than wh-" she began to ask but before she could finish the man punched her in the face and walked away

I ran after him but the others stopped me

"What the fuck?!" I yelled

"Honey don't. He'll just hurt you too. It's okay" Trinity said as she helped Rebecca up.

I tore the bottom of my shirt apart and let Rebecca use it to clean the blood from her face.

"Why do you let him do this?!" I asked

"He gives us a home and jobs" Holly said

"You can find a better home and jobs!"

"Not with our life styles we can't" Rebecca softly said

I raised an eyebrow and was about to question her more when I saw them. The track marks. The holes where the needles have gone in and out. They were drug addicts. Living in a home that was owned by the man who sold them the drugs.

I didn't speak but Rebecca knew I saw the marks

She sat on the steps of the porch and sighed

"It wasn't always like this...I had a future..I had a boyfriend..A home..I went to college and was top of my class. But I never graduated..drugs found their way to me at a party one night. Started off small..snorting pills and huffing gas but it quickly escalated into much worse. Lost my job, home, boyfriend, college scholarship." She trailed off and pulled a cigarette out of her pocket

The other 3 girls sat down with us and stayed silent

"Who is that man" I finally asked

"Carson" Megan said

"Why does he allow you to live here?"

"He's my boyfriend. Plus we do jobs he wants us to do. Sneaking drugs in and out of places, stealing, sex. Whatever he wants" Holly said

"And your okay with it???"

Trinity and Megan looked away and Rebecca just sighed

"Yeah? I mean he provides me with drugs and a place to sleep? I don't need a real job with him" Holly said with slight annoyance in her voice.

"She really doesn't care that she lives like this? It's clear the others are ashamed of how their lives turned out but Holly almost seems...proud?"

I inhaled hard and grabbed Rebeccas hand

"Come with me. I live far from here. You all come with me and I'll help you get clean. Get real jobs. You can live with me and if Carson is an issue I can get us protection"

The 3 girls began to tear up and shake their heads yes but Holly scoffed at my offer and walked off

"Ignore her. She's blinded by the 'love' Carson shows her" Rebecca said

"Why would you help us?" Trinity asked

"Because you don't deserve this life. Like Holly said when I got here last night it doesn't matter what your past is or what you did. I want to help you" I said as I hugged them

We went inside and began packing what little belongings they had when suddenly the door was kicked down by Carson

"So you tryin ta steal my property?!" He shouted as he waved his gun around. Holly followed him with a smirk on her face

I stood in front of the girls and held my arms out trying to shield them best I could

"They aren't your property. They are free women who do what they want. And they want to come with me!"

"Ima kill you" he shouted as he ran towards me

"Goku trained you for this stuff. You know how to fight. You can't be scared. Protect these girls!!"

I cocked my right arm back and hit him with everything I had. He stumbled back into the table and I grabbed the girls hands and ran for the door. Once outside I reached into my pocket and threw a capsule on the ground. Out popped a small communication device. I grabbed it and ran down the street with the girls behind me.

Carson came running out of the house in a fit of rage

I turned on the device and screamed into it. I didn't say words. I just screamed.

Goku appeared in front of us with Vegeta behind him

I threw the girls behind them and turned towards Carson

"Him!" I shouted and pointed to the man with a gun running down the street

Vegeta pushed me behind him and Goku shouted to the man

"Your trying to hurt my girl. I suggest you stop"

"My girl??"

*Vegetas pov*

"His girl??"

*Your pov*

Carson stopped and laughed

"Okay karate kid and star trek what you gonna do about it?"

He held up his gun and emptied his clip at Vegeta and Goku

After it was empty he stood in shock as Goku opened his hand and the crumbled bullets fell out

Vegeta smirked and punched the man square in the face, causing him to fly 15 feet back

"Who are they?!" Rebecca asked

"My Saiyans. They are the protection I told you I had. They wouldn't let anything happen to me and I won't let anything happen to you guys"

The 3 girls hugged me tightly as we watched Carson get up and run away. The 2 Saiyans turned towards us and said nothing.

"They are gonna question the shit out of me later...they both look like they haven't slept.."

Goku picked up you and Rebecca and Vegeta picked up the other 2 girls, flying them far away from this life and into a better one
