3. Her bitchy highness

Isabella's POV

The next day, I woke up splayed on the floor, with my hair in a tangled mess, puffy eyes and an aching body caused by sleeping on the floor for so long.

I showered, got dressed and went directly to the pack house, making sure no one from my family saw me leaving, as I was positive that they would ask me about yesterday and they wouldn't stop grilling me until I told them what had happened.

I was in no mood to talk to anyone, much less talk about yesterday.

As soon as I reached the pack house I saw Elle sitting in the garden, a thoughtful and worried look on her face. I went behind her and touched her shoulder and within moments I was engulfed in a tight hug.

"Elle....stop. c...can't breathe." I choked out. She smiled sheepishly, but then her face turned worried and she took my hand in hers. "I know Leonardo is your mate and.."

I cut her off, "What? How?" I asked confused.

She gave me a small smile, "Bella, I've known you since we were kids. You're strong both emotionally and physically. You wouldn't do what you did yesterday, if he hadn't been your mate. "

I sighed. I just wanted to forget all that happened yesterday and I was hungry too. "Let's just go inside, I'm hungry," I said to which she nodded, pulling me with her in the direction of the pack house.

I was so glad to have Elle, I knew she would have my back no matter what. We would always have each other's back.

Aunt Marlee and some other pack members had made raspberry pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausages, toast and fresh juice for breakfast. The food called to me and I wasted no time in digging in. Elle gave me a look and I knew I'd have to talk to her about my mate after this was over.

"What are you going to do about this Bella? Don't you think we should atleast tell your mother about this?" she whispered, while playing with the scrambled eggs on her plate.

"No, we're not telling anyone about this. Leonardo and Adriana can do what they want, but he'll know what he lost by choosing her over me. I'll make sure of that." Elle smiled at this.

"I'm with you Bella, every step you take. You will get your mate back." I smiled grateful to have her as my bestfriend.

"Oh and Bella.." she continued. "Yes?" she looked nervous but said, "Alpha Leonardo will be staying at your house and Adriana and the others are staying at the pack house." she responded, while searching my face for any kind of reaction.

To say I was stunned was an understatement. I did not know how to react to this. Not only was my mate dating someone else, but he would also be staying here with us.

To top it all off, Crystal still wasn't talking to me. Just what I needed. Fantastic.

After our little conversation in the garden, Elle and I were walking towards the training grounds so that we could train with the other pack warriors.

As we entered the training area, I saw Leonardo sparring with a pack warrior from our pack. Both of them had very good combat skills, but it was obvious that Leonardo had the upper hand, he was an Alpha after all.

But I was staring at him for an entirely different reason. He was shirtless and I felt stupid, for even looking at him after all that happened, but I couldn't help it. Elle gently put a hand on my shoulder and I took in a deep breath. I had to keep my senses under control.
