Mother stood in the doorway of my room, a pleading look in her eyes."There is something you need to know Bella, and Theodora has to be the one to tell you. It's better if you go talk in my office. Since you have to leave with her in some time, I will have to send the maids up here to pack your things. If there is anything last minute later on, then you can just grab it."
I looked into her tear filled eyes with horror, she was trying to be strong, but it looked like she would break any second now.
"What do you mean leave with her?! I am not going anywhere, mother. Not with her and not with anyone else!"
"You have to come to the Sanctum Saeculare Academy with us. A place where all Supernaturals go. A place to get better training for your powers, to help you control them."
I turned to Theodora, glaring at her, "You heard me, didn't you? I. AM. NOT. GOING. ANYWHERE. I will not leave my family for you no matter what. I will learn to control my powers here if they want me to, but I am not going anywhere."
"I am not your mother Bella...." It was barely above a whisper but I heard it. I froze, at a loss for words. My mother wouldn't say that, I am her child for God's sake!
All of a sudden, flashes from my dream and the realization that had hit me, started coming back in pieces. But it couldn't be.
This woman standing in front of me is my mother. This woman who loved me, cared for me, and couldn't stand watching me get hurt and in pain. It couldn't be anyone else, I refused to believe it.
"Mother, what are you saying? Of course you are. I don't want to leave all of you, why don't you understand? And you Theodora, I will tell you once again. I am not....."
I was cut off by a strained, angry and tear filled voice. "I AM NOT YOUR MOTHER! You are not our family. You are dangerous, a threat to all of us."
"Mom..." large fat tears were flowing down my cheeks by now.
"NO! You have to go with her. I cannot put my family and my pack in danger, just because you do not know how to control your powers!" with that she walked out, slamming the door behind her.
I opened the door and ran after her. "Mom, you don't mean that. Please! I don't want to leave all of you. You cannot say something like that just to get me to go!"
She stopped mid stride and whirled around. What I never expected to see, was the anger in my mother's eyes.
"Now you listen to me and you listen good. I am not your mother. I took care of you since you were a little baby, but I cannot put my family and my pack in danger just because you cannot control those freaky powers of yours Bella...."
"No, you don't mean that, tell me you don't mean that... please." I was sobbing now, hot tears flowing down my face.
My mother who I adored for years, whom I loved so dearly was asking me to get out of their lives. I felt my vision starting to swim, making it hard to hear my mother's voice over the ringing in my ears.
I held her hand tight sobbing harder. Then, she struck me so hard that my head turned to the other side, almost having a whiplash. The person who never laid a hand on me without any reason, struck me because I wasn't leaving.
"I will not have you hurt anyone. It is best if you leave with her. We tried to keep your life normal by sending you to a human school just like the others, but the stunt that you pulled today was more than enough to scare everyone to death. You are unpredictable! I cannot let you be around my family." She had tears flowing down her cheek, but the anger in her eyes scared me.
Black dots started appearing in front of my eyes. I couldn't take this anymore. It was bad enough with the people at school even when they didn't know about my powers, I couldn't take this from a person so close to my heart.
I stared at her with a pained expression, the horror clear on my face. The ringing in my ears got louder. I could feel a cold feeling go through within me, making me feel detached to my surroundings.
Her face now mirrored my expression, clearly more horrified than I was. I saw my eyes turn silver in the bright eyes of my mother. But the weird thing was that, for the first time ever I saw black swirling in my silver eyes.
The voice that came out of me, was not mine.
A dark, loud rumbling sound came from deep within me. My mother looked scared to death and Theodora who was standing by the door to my room looked shocked.
The other witches and family members in our house had come up too, because of the shouting match that we were having. They stood at the end of the hallway, all as equally shocked and horrified as my mother was.
It was like I was in the back seat, watching everything playing out in front of me. I could not control my movements, it was as if I wasn't there at all. There was this particular new presence that I felt within me, just like I felt Crystal's presence.
I did not know what this new presence was all about or what it was. All I knew was that whatever happened in these past few hours, unlocked a dangerous side of me that I couldn't control.
"Huh, and here I thought we wouldn't have to meet the third part of her, not to mention the most dangerous one." Theodora commented, all the while I was letting out loud, dark sounds from deep within my throat that sounded like vicious growls. I would never growl at my family this fiercely. I would never want to hurt them.
But why wasn't I moving yet? If this part of me is as dangerous as she says it is, why haven't I hurt anybody? Was I waiting for someone else to make a move?
Alessio looked troubled, so did Ari, dad and the other witches. Mom stood there like she was frozen to the spot, not moving an inch or more so afraid to.
"She is not dangerous!" Alessio exclaimed, moving closer to me.
"No, don't go close to her...!" Theodora screamed, but it was too late.
Talking about control, what I did next was certainly not under my control.
