Isabella's POV

I was standing in the middle of the forest, in a clearing surrounded by tall trees and dense shrubbery. The rustling sound of nearing footsteps caused panic to rise in me.

I felt as if I was being chased and I wanted to turn around and run away from there, but I was rooted to the spot.

I shivered, fear coursing through my body. Suddenly, the footsteps seemed to slow down and came to a stop.

I saw a woman come out of the forest, something securely wrapped in her hand. She was loosing a lot of blood, the crimson colour covering almost every part of her body.

I was about to run to her, to ask if she wanted help, when the image started fading and I was then standing in a room full of bottles of herbs, feathers and various other things.

There was a knock on the door and a woman mostly in her 20's went to open the door. She was wearing a long black cloak which gave her a gothic look, but her features were soft.

The door opened and a woman came in, holding something tightly to her chest. When she looked up, I took a step back, startled.

It was the same woman from the woods.

The thing she held so tightly to her chest started moving and then I heard a baby's cry. They exchanged a few words which I couldn't hear, even though I tried to.

The woman with the baby looked pained. She had tears in her eyes and from what I could see, the other woman was trying to comfort her.

The woman from the woods, handed the baby to the lady in the black cloak and left. The image faded and I was back in the forest.

Only now, the woman was running and there was a man following her. I didn't know why, but I felt a need to go after her.

I followed her and out of nowhere, the man appeared with a silver dagger in hand. The silver dagger had a red ruby in the center, which looked like two eyes, giving off an enchanting glow.

He lunged towards the woman, but she ducked with ease. She fought him like a seasoned warrior, but she was unarmed and looked extremely tired.

Somehow, the man succeeded in hurting her to an extent that she faltered. As she staggered, the man stuck the dagger in her stomach and the red ruby in the dagger began glowing fiercely, seemingly sucking the life out of her.

I screamed, trying to help the woman but all my attempts seemed futile. I was there, yet I was not. I couldn't do a thing. So I cried.

I cried as the man dragged the woman behind him who was severely injured, bleeding continuously and deathly pale. I screamed, hoping someone would hear my cries of help. I felt her pain as if it were mine.

The woman lifted her head and I saw bright silver eyes staring back at me.

"Please don't..." was the only thing I remember hearing, before everything faded to darkness.

I woke up screaming, crying and covered in sweat. I had the same dream since I was sixteen.

The same woman, the same incidents, but what differed was the way the woman was hurt everytime. Though it always seemed to be with the same silver dagger.

I didn't know why, but it felt as though I lost a part of me everytime that happened. I felt a deep connection to that woman. I felt so helpless, so hopeless.

Those eyes...I've seen that doe like gaze somewhere, but I don't remember where.

They seem so familiar, so warm and welcoming, beckoning me to get lost in their embrace.

Then it clicked all at once, my heart beating even faster at the realization.

"Mother. "
