6. The Twilight Flame Coven

Isabella's POV

I woke up to the sound of hushed whispers around me. I pretended to sleep, so I could hear what they were saying.

"We need to wake her up. Luna has said that she has to get ready in an hour. There is a meeting with the Twilight Flame Coven's elder it seems" I heard Elle whisper.

"But I won't be the one to wake her up! I don't want to be on the receiving end of her wrath!! She will kill me if I do." Zion whisper shouted. I could just imagine the exasperated look he would have on his face, making me almost giggle.

Keyword 'almost'.

I would train really hard during training sessions and did what they told me to, with the input of the elders. But there were two things they knew not to mess with when it involved me i.e. food and sleep. But seeing them like this, I decided to put them out of their misery.

They continued to bicker as I softly said, "Guys.." but they were so engrossed in yelling at each other in whispers, that they didn't hear me.

"Guys!!" I finally shouted. Both of them looked like a deer caught in headlights as they slowly turned to face me. Zion looked like he was ready to flee and that made me laugh.

"Relax guys!" I smiled "Now tell me, what is this Twilight Flame Coven and what meeting are we talking about?" I asked.

They immediately relaxed when they saw that I wasn't angry at them. "Luna told us to wake you up and get you ready in time, for the meeting with the Twilight Flame coven elder and the others. The Twilight Flame Coven is a coven of the most powerful witches in the world" Elle informed.

"Oh." was the only word I could seem to form. I quickly got up, went through my daily routine and got dressed in a pair of light washed jeans, a red crop top and a denim jacket and white sneakers.

All three of us went down to have breakfast, at the sight of which my stomach growled loudly, making everyone laugh. I smiled sheepishly.

They'd made BLT sandwiches, orange juice, toast and eggs. I took two sandwiches, some eggs and toast.

What? Don't judge me. I'm a growing wolf! I need all the food and nutrients I can get.

I was in the middle of fixing another plate for myself, when a pack warrior came in and told us that the Twilight Flame Coven witches had arrived.

My mother immediately straightened her dress and left to go receive them with my father. Leo was there the whole time and I hadn't spared him a glance. Zion and Elle came to my side after finishing up their breakfast.

Apparently, my father and mother had taken them to the meeting room and I had to meet them there.

I didn't know why it involved me, as I didn't even know their name until this morning.

When I got up from my seat to walk to the meeting room, Elle came to my left and Zion came to my right, putting his arm around my shoulder.

Suddenly, we heard a small growl, the person in question trying to suppress it and sounding constipated.

I didn't react to it, knowing full well where it came from and walked further down the hall to the meeting room.

We stood at the large double doors and I knocked four times in succession. A "come in" could be heard from the other side and we opened the door and walked in.

There were 11 people in the meeting room. My father was sitting at the head of the long table with my mother by his side.

There was a lady sitting opposite from where my father was sitting, her back facing me with 6 witches surrounding her, three on each side.

Uncle Daniel was sitting next to my father on his right and Aunt Marlee sat next to him. When we entered, they looked up at us and beckoned us to come and have a seat.

There was only one person missing, and that was my elder brother Alessio, the future Alpha of the pack. Elle was the future Beta female, being the eldest of the two children and Zion was the future Gamma.

Now the question was, what was I doing here? I didn't know that either.

I took a seat next to my mother and looked up at the woman who was supposedly the elder of the Twilight Flame Coven.

To say I was shocked would be an understatement. The woman was extremely beautiful. She wore a black floor length gown with lace sleeves and platinum jewelry with black diamonds and had a black cloak over her shoulders.

Are these people sure she is an elder?

What shocked me to the core was the fact that this was the same woman I saw in my dreams, who took the baby from the woman with silver eyes. "No, it can't be...." I kept repeating over and over again.

"Oh, but it is my child. I see you've grown up to be a beautiful young woman. I wish she was here to see you like this." she said with a sad smile.

"I don't know what you are talking about and I do not wish to know, so you better get out of my sight right now." I said getting up from my chair and backing away.

Everyone in the room gasped. She too got up from her chair and started walking towards me.

"No, don't come any closer!" I shouted while keeping my hands in front of me, palms out. Suddenly, lightning blazed up in the sky.

She stretched her hands out palms up to show me that she meant no harm, but I couldn't seem to understand.

All my nightmares started replaying in front of my eyes. I squeezed my eyes shut so they would go away, but they didn't. I could hear the women's agonizing screams as she was dragged away.

Lightning strikes increased in frequency and became louder, more fiercer and heavy rains started pouring outside.

I fell to the floor and even though I cried for help, no one could get near me because of the vines that were growing in front of me, shielding me from the others as if they didn't want me getting hurt.

Suddenly, the door to the meeting room slammed open and in a moment Leo was standing in front of the growing vines, trying to cut as many as possible to reach me. But they seemed to grow even more.

Not knowing what to do, my brother started speaking to me in a soothing manner. He asked me to breathe in and out deeply and let him through, so that he could help me.

I knew my powers were going haywire and I couldn't stop it. But when I looked into Leo's forest green eyes, I felt a wave of calmness overcome me and black dots started appearing in my vision.

I saw that the vines had started disappearing, dissipating into tiny green particles. "You let him kill her..." I whispered, before darkness consumed me.
