[yall i know i told you smth interesting was gon happen this chapter but whadayano it's a filler...again hehe. im so sorry its taking so long i just really want it to seem like real events because i see so many stories taking it so fast and they fall in love really quickly, so i just want it to seem real like something that might actually happen? idk if that makes sense. also this is set like four months later]
cheryl and veronica had been pretty much inseparable since cheryl had come over that first time. there had been a time right after cheryl had come over, where cheryl hadn't come to school in a week, and veronica had wondered if it had been about her, maybe she had done something to upset her? maybe cheryl had found out about what had happened in new york? betty had said;
"oh don't worry, cheryl disappears sometimes, she says shes just visiting family." and jughead had replied;
"i don't buy it. cheryl is obnoxious, why would anyone want to hang out with her? i pity her mom, always having to be around her." of course, veronica had TRIED to stand up for her saying kindergarten comebacks like 'thats not nice' and 'stop being so mean'. she had continued to worry, but when cheryl had come back she seemed fine around veronica, a bit thinner though, and she seemed hungry for just about anything. veronica assumed that was normal, after all she hadn't known cheryl that long, maybe she had always been that thin.
anyways, cheryl and veronica had hung out almost everyday after, never at cheryl's, always in ronnies big mansion. she had often come over for sleepovers, usually just showing up, seeming stressed. veronica didn't complain, she loved hanging out with her...a bit too much sometimes. occasionally veronica stared at cheryl a little too long, and she had to force herself to stop. she refused to accept she had a crush, because she couldn't bear to lose the amazing friendship that was forming. and she still hadn't asked cheryl about her past, so it was kind of eating away at her.
one day, about two months after the first pLaYdAtE, veronica got an email from some guy named 'chuck clayton' had invited her to a party. weird. she had no idea who this guy was, but the email was sent to lots of other people, including betty and kevin and archie who had all rsvped, and cheryl. veronica really only wanted to go if cheryl was there, so she called her up.
--"hey whats up ronnie?"
"nothing much. hey are you going to that party? hosted by a 'ChUcK cLaYtOn'?"
--"oh chuck? nah. he's a total jerk, especially at parties. spills everyones secrets."
"i bet it's not THATTT bad. pleeeaaaseeee can you comeeeee? it's my first party in riverdale, and i wanna meet some of the other people ya know?"
--"you can do that at schoollllllll."
"but like, i don't knowww. please cher??"
--"noooo, everyone hates meeeee."'
"that's not true. i love you. please come?"
--"fine. why do you do this to me?"
"yayyyyy. ok bye" and she hung up.
