That morning she woke up in a good mood.
She sighed as she was able to feel herself feel more...well like herself
Her stomach ached from lack of food but she still couldn't help the smile that had occupied her she she sat up in her bed.It was strange, but some days she woke up being a morning person.
Some days she wanted to drown her self in a pot of hot coffee
It was a 50/50
Getting around she had put a little effort into her appearance, only because she had the energy and was aware that in a little bit that energy would be stolen from her. So she might as well look nice while she shuffled around the halls.
She even cleaned alittle that morning.
She jumped into her Jeep and turned it to a station she had found after a week, one that Actually played music, she even wailed a little ballet.
And then, she pulled into the school and sighed, feeling the clouds of other peoples problems glide over her, here she gos.
She shuffled into class keeping her head down to not make eye contact with anyone else. Her hair today put back, not allowing her to use her curtains like she was use to. She grabbed her book and began to read the pages as she waited for students to relentlessly enter the classroom.
She was so involved in the story she didnt notice the bubbly pixie next to her.
"Good Morning Violet!" Violet jumped at the sudden appearance of Alice and turned with large eyes.
Oh crap.
She had wanted to avoid Alice. This was going to be so awkward.
"You look so pretty today" Alice smiled taking the seat next to her. Viloet had to suppress her shock.
Where was the awkwardness?
Why was Alice acting as if Viloet didnt totally freak yesterday?
Violet tucked some losses bangs behind her ear
"Um, thanks Alice, you look ni-"
"Thanks Viloet! Your too nice!" Alice smiled. Viloet found herself smiling at Alice's perky nature.
"So, how was your night?" Alice asked Viloet smiled thinking back to it.
"Oh it was-"
Insecurity.
"Um"
Mother
"It was.."
Fat
"Uh.."
Ugly
"IIrt was fine" Viloet stuttered out and turned her head slightly to look behind her, where she felt these feelings being siphoned from
Not good enough
Her eyes landed on a cheerleader who was smiling at her friends as they talked.
She looked happy.
But she still had her pain.
Just like everyone.
And all that pain eventually hooked on to Viloet.
"Hey. Are you okay?" Violet snapped out of it and looked back towards Alice.
Alice had a reassuring smile. But Viloets face held no emotion.
Her smile obliterated.
"Uh, yeah, I'm fine" she said and then quickly turned her head down to her book.
Ending the conversation.
Alice frowned but said nothing as she turned towards the teacher her thoughts swirling in her head.
Okay, perhaps befriending Violet wasn't so easy.
They both heard the teacher walk into the class Violet looked up from her book closing sadly so she could pay attention to what the man had to say.
"Okay Class, as you know we've been talking much about the Civil War. Now I want you to partner up and make a creative presentation about a certain topic part that interests you. I expect research done.
After Alice and her agreed to be partners the conversation kinda ended, instead Violet suggested looking through and finding a topic for the remainder of class, Alice agreed but didn't seem to thrilled with the idea. But Violet didnt have the energy, she felt as it was being sucked out of her and all she wanted to do is leave.
Sadly it was only 1st period.
