Jack was pacing the kitchen floor. "There are only five minutes before we have to leave for rehearsal. What is up with Zach?"

Corbyn was trying--and failing-- to balance a pen on his nose. "When is Zach not late? He'll probably pop up soon. Just stay here and wait."

~~~~~~
Zach lay in the hospital bed, unconscious. The doctor sighed as he flipped through the blood test results, shaking his head.
"What is it?" a nurse asked.
"Severe and prolonged malnutrition. Which probably means, for a boy of this age..." The doctor sighed.
"Anorexia."
"How severe?"
"Sinus Brady. It's bad."
(A Sinus Brady is when your heartbeat is so slow and weak that there is a chance your heart might stop)
~~~~~~

A nurse exited the room and went to the front desk. "Have we gotten anywhere yet on contacting the legal guardians?"

One of the girls that had found Zach hopped up. "We tried going on social media and messaging his parents, his siblings, and his bandmates, but they're all so popular that it's not working."

The nurse sighed. "We'll have to wait until he's conscious again."

~~~~~~
Jonah frowned at his watch. "Zach's twenty minutes late. Where on Earth is that dude? We're going to be so late for tour rehearsal."
The boys had conducted a search of the house-- they'd checked every room, went around outside, even checked the roof. They'd found his phone-- charging in his bedroom beside his wallet-- but nothing else. Zach had simply disappeared. They were standing on the driveway, outside the van as they waited for Zach to return.
Jack sighed. "I can't help it. I'm thinking the worst."
"Huh?"
"What if he got kidnapped? He's young, he's famous, he's attractive. Maybe some crazed stalker lunatic fan kidnapped him in the middle of the night."
Daniel raised an eyebrow. "And it didn't get past the security system?"
Corbyn shrugged. "Or, maybe, we should actually check the security system and see if it gives any clues as to where he went?"
The boys exchanged a glance.
Less than a second later, they all began sprinting towards the house. Jonah quickly unlocked the door and they scrambled to the dining room, where Corbyn's laptop was still open.
He quickly unlocked it and they went straight to the security site. Their manager had insisted upon some sort of security camera system to make sure nothing got stolen. The boys weren't supposed to have access to the tapes, but Corbyn had found the password and memorized it, in case of a situation like this.
Corbyn filed through the tapes. "8 PM... 9PM... 10 PM..."
The lights throughout the house turned off one by one, until every single light was off.
"11 PM, 12 AM..."
"Wait!" Daniel barked. "Scroll back a little. I saw something."
Sure enough, there was a flicker of movement in the downstairs hall. Corbyn replayed the tape.
