Zach stared at his phone.

He was angry. No, disappointed. No, frustrated. No, sad.

He didn't know how to feel.

Minutes ago, Zach had gone and searched up Why Don't We on YouTube. He was curious to see what the fans were talking about. What they were interested in. Maybe even what they thought of him.

He had scrolled a bit and then clicked on a random video. Something about the short boat trip they'd gone on. The boys had rented out a small private yacht and had dinner by the sunset. Of course, they'd done a little bit of swimming as well.

Okay, a lot of swimming.

It had been so much fun, and so when he clicked on the video he was excited.

The video was all of their Instagram clips from the boat. He laughed as he saw them dancing on the deck, and jumping into the water, and gawking at the seafood feast they'd been given for dinner.

Zach scrolled down in the comments, wondering what the fans thought.

There was a barrage of comments about the boys being shirtless.

Of course. he smiled to himself. Teenage girls, what am I supposed to expect?

And then his smile faded.

All the comments were about Daniel's abs. And Corbyn's. And Jonah's.

And then he saw another comment.

He frowned, but kept scrolling. Probably just a random hater.

watermerron: Zach should just kill himself. never seen someone so ugly in my life.

Zach took a deep breath. There had to be someone that was saying something nice about him.

He scrolled through more and more comments about the other boys looking great shirtless, growing more frustrated with every comment.

There are five people in the band, not four. Do the fans seriously not care about me?

The screen was blurring in front of him. No. His eyes were tearing up.

He blinked, and a tear fell down his cheek.

He ripped his shirt off his body and stared at himself in the full-length mirror.

Ugly. Ugly. Ugly.

Fat.

The tears were freely falling down his face. His fat face. They dripped down his chest and onto his stomach. His fat stomach. He wiped them away with his fat fingers.

This is why everyone hates you. Because you're fat and ugly and disgusting.

He stared at the repulsive figure in the mirror. No wonder he hadn't been successful as a solo artist. People probably thought he was just a joke. They thought it was funny that such an ugly boy was in a group of talented, attractive men.
