"Wait, wait, wait... you said someone broke in the barn?"

Taehyung's eyes widen when I nod and he immediately stands up to pace around the campfire. Jimin locks his gaze with mine and his eyebrows shoot up as if to ask if I'm okay. I motion a shy yes with my head before looking down at my fingers, earning a faint sigh of relief from him.

To be frank, I didn't really know how to take in what happened a few hours ago. What if I had kept quiet? Would the stranger have stolen from us? Would I even still be alive if he found me before I found him?

A million scenarios are playing in my head when Taehyung stomps his foot on the ground which shakes me out of my trance. All heads whirl in his direction before he slowly turns to us, a malicious look on his face.

"That's it. We're going to the police station."

Really, Taehyung? That's your plan?

"And why on Earth would we do that?" Hoseok crosses his arms, clearly not impressed by the suggestion. Shivering from the cold, Jimin agrees to Hoseok's statement as he nods vigorously.

"Because we need to report people from trespassing on priva—" Taehyung stops himself midway to think for a brief moment, his eyes slowly coming up to meet Hoseok's who has a "you're-an-idiot" look.

"Yeahh... remember when the police said that you were trespassing on private property?" he purses his lips slowly, letting the truth sink in while Taehyung already sighs in advance since he knows exactly where this conversation is heading.

"This land isn't legally yours, which means you can't file a complaint." Hoseok spits out as he picks at his cuticles, the arch on his eyebrow highlighting his cockiness.

He isn't entirely wrong... actually; he's entirely right. The farm belonged to Jinho; not Taehyung and since Jinho was not Taehyung's legal guardian, he can't inherit the property.

Which probably means that we should get the hell out of here before the police shows up again and we all end up arrested.

"I have a few contacts at the local police station. My father used to be an officer. I can get us in, no problem." Jimin speaks up and all brows are furrowed at the news.
