Yoongi's trembling voice echoes behind me, sending us all over the edge as he begins to cry hysterically. Before I even know it, I'm getting pushed off Jimin's dead body by his boyfriend whose eyes are long gone.
"안돼! 지민아! [No! Jimin-ah!]" Yoongi's arms carefully scoop up his late lover's body and buries his face into the crook of his neck, emptying himself from all demons and tears.
Slowly standing up, I back up to give them the space they need, my shoulders unable to stop jumping as the scene before me shakes me up. A hand suddenly squeezes my shoulder and I'm tempted to look, but there is no need since I already know it's Taehyung. I can sense his aura. His much too calm aura.
I hear his faint sniffles next to me and immediately freeze in place. I slowly look up to him and I don't even have the time to look at his glossy eyes for more than a second before he pulls me into his chest. His large hand rests on the back of my head to keep me from seeing him cry, which stirs something inside me.
He doesn't want to be vulnerable around us. Not at a time like this. He's our leader, he's the one we look up to and that alone is a burden he needs to carry on his shoulders everyday.
He wasn't born to live in a gang. He wasn't born to lead, nor to make decisions and set a perfect example. None of this was in his genes, and it showed. Everytime he felt vulnerable or emotional, he tried his best to hide it from us.
But something changed. It's like spending all this time with us helped to melt a small part of his ice cold heart. He learned to open up, to communicate, to share, to bond and even to love.
He loved Jimin. It would be a lie to say that he wasn't his favorite. They've spent every single day side by side since they've known each other. You could've thought that they were best friends — or even siblings for that matter. The arguments they once hated to start became a part of their daily and it even got to some extend that they loved to pick fights only because they knew very well it meant that they cared for each other.
All those bickers, all those lost words and subtle love... gone like dust.
Taehyung keeps on staring at the body that once used to hold a joyful life and his sniffles become rare. As my head rests against his chest, I could feel his heart slowly becoming cold again.
