"YAAA!!!"
Yoongi hollers out the blue, taking us all by surprise as we turn around to see him pouncing at a random guard's throat. All boys follow his lead as they take on some guards at their turn, fists flying out and blood printing their knuckles in seconds.
Opening my mouth out of sheer confusion, I take a step towards the grunting mess of males, but I'm cut quick in my actions when a body crashes upon me, keeping me from going anywhere.
We both fall to the ground and I instinctively roll over and punch out the person's nose. They fly out to the other side of the room and I only then realize it was Bora when I notice a few drops of purple serum on my hand.
As I nonchalantly wipe off the violet substance, she comes back for me at the speed of light, her hands clasping my collar as she dashes me meters away. My back connects with a large column, the marble exploding under the impact and rendering me immobile for a few seconds or so.
It takes me all the efforts in the world to sit up with a broken spine and my squinting eyes instantly try search for Taehyung. They expand as wide as they physically can when I finally spot him, kneeling in front of Jinho.
"I will not fight you." he whispers, not knowing I can hear him through all the screams and sounds of bones breaking.
Jinho chuckles as he slides his fingers through Taehyung's tousled hair.
"Will you fight your friends then?"
I suck in my breath, drawn to their conversation and not even noticing Bora wrapping her hand around my throat and lifting me off the ground.
Taehyung's head turns to me, eyes filled with tears, and everything around us seem to stop. The room is dead silent, not a single body is moving, only the slow blinking of his wet eyelashes is captivating me in a trance.
Frozen in time, we gaze into each other's eyes with tears streaking down our cheeks, knowing damn well we reached our lowest point. At this point, we are almost defeated.
The boys are becoming weaker. We've all had more than just a fight in us, and it started to show a little bit more every day.
This war has been going on for far too long. It's time to make an end to all of this.
The hand that is harshly wrapped around my throat still holds me back against the column, making it harder for me to breathe as time goes on and that's when Taehyung realized he needed to do something.
Pressing his hands against the floor, his foot flies out and kicks Jinho's jaw from down under, causing his body to fly to the other side of the throne.
With a smile now spreading on my face, I glance down at Bora and proceed with the plan.
This is my only chance. I need to bring her back on our side now that the remote has been destroyed.
So without wasting another second, I pull out the corn cob from my back pocket and shove it into her mouth, earning a wide eyed look from her as I smacked her clean across the face.
She instinctively bites down on the vegetable and her grip loosens enough for me to slip out of her harsh hold.
With the antidote now far down her throat, her purple eyes glance up into mine, getting distracted long enough for Namjoon to come in running and crash his body against hers — rhino-style.
She falls a few feet away from us and I lightly tap Namjoon's shoulder before exchanging a nod with him. In the corner of my eye, I notice the Chancellor trying to escape the room by the door the guys busted earlier, so I gather up all my energy and sprint off to grasp the back of his collar.
"Going somewhere, daddy?" an obvious smirk curls up on the corner of my mouth as I yank him back and make him fall on his bottom.
"It's over." I say, and press my foot against his heaving chest, putting him in the same situation I was in mere seconds ago as it's getting harder for him to breathe.
"Don't you get it? This is never going to stop. After me, there will be others—"
"Then I'll be sure to kill them all."
Before further words are exchanged, I strike my hand out and smile victoriously when I notice his head disconnecting and rolling away from his body, blood oozing everywhere.
Bora almost immediately wakes up and looks around in shock, eyes now back to how they used to be in the beginning : still purple, but not glowing uncontrollably.
Everyone in the room stops fighting, heads snapping towards my mischief smirk and down to the dead body in shock.
Slowly turning around, I search for Taehyung, and my jaw slacks open when I notice him scanning the room worriedly, probably trying to find Jinho.
"What now?" a guard asks in wonder, and we all stare at each other dumbfounded.
"Do we just... go home?" another one suggests, to which all agree and soon all the guards are on their way to exit the palace.
All the ones left are Namjoon, Seokjin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Taehyung, Jungkook, Bora and I. Eyebrows are raised and nervous laughs are let out by each male, not believing for one second that we were finally able to get out of the black hole.
I did it...
Wedid it.
My eyes instinctively run up to meet Taehyung's which are filled with fear and worry. Slowly walking up to him, I intertwine my fingers with his and look up into his doe eyes, noticing how calm he's just gotten from my touch.
"He must not have gone far. We can still track him do—"
"No." he deadpans, cutting me right off. "Let him be. I owe him my life, so I'll spear his." he looks down in sadness and I bring a hand up to his cheek to wipe away the lone tear that managed to fall.
"Taehyungie." I call out, causing him to stare back into my eyes, "I'm with you every step of the way. No matter what your decision may be, I've got your back." I smile reassuringly and to my biggest surprise, he actually smiles back at me.
Without any warnings, he leans forward and places a soft peck against the edge of my lips, earning a few gasps from the boys, and we both smile in content.
"And I've got yours." his grip tightens around my hand and we both turn around to face the group of males awaiting for future orders.
"Alright everyone, there's just one last thing we need to do."
