Mavis's POV

"Get the popcorn, please" I said to Grayson as I turned on the tv snuggling further into the comfy couch.

"Already ahead of you" he said placing a blue bowl of popcorn on the coffee table before sitting next to me, draping a fuzzy blanket over us. "What are we watching?"

"Haven't chosen yet, comedy or...?" I looked up at him holding the controller.

"A horror movie" he said placing his arms over my shoulders pulling me closer.

"A horror movie? So you can get scared?" I teased.

"No so you can get scared and jump into my arms" he smirked.

"Oh really? Like when we went to see insidious key and you almost cried" I smile.

"I didn't almost cry" he groaned covering his face with his free hand.

I shook my head with a little laugh before turning my attention to the screen.

"We're watching What Happened To Monday" I said clicking on it. I placed the controller on the side table before cuddling into Grayson's side.

Since I already saw this movie I eventually began dozing off.

*

I woke up when Grayson stood up.

"What are you doing?" I asked looking at the tv that was now playing survival videos.

"I have to pee, I'll be right back" he kissed the top of my head as I rubbed my eyes.

"Okay" I mumbled before grabbing my phone to check my messages.

A few seconds later there was a knock at the door. I waited a little bit to see if Gray would come out of the bathroom so he could answer it instead but it didn't happened so I got up.

I was shocked to see who was at the door.

"Stacy...what are you doing here?" I asked my sister who I haven't seen in years. She turned eighteen and I never saw her again.

"Hey" she smiled sweetly, she's never smiled at me before. "Could I come in?"

"S-sure, yeah" I said stepping back opening the door wider. She walked in looking around.

"Nice place you got here" she said looking back at me.

"How did you find my address?" I asked quietly. The last time I saw Stacy was the day before her eighteenth birthday.  She told me that she hoped to never see my face again but here she is, in my apartment.

"I-"

"I had to pee so bad I got a little on the carpet-" Gray stopped when he saw who was here.

"What the fuck is she doing here?" He asked.

"Hiya Grayson" she waved at him.

"Don't Hiya me" he glared at her. "What are you-"

"Gray could you give us a minute" I cut him off.

He sighed. "Fine"

I signaled toward the couch and we both sat down on it.

"So how've you been?" She asked. Is this some sick joke?

"Stacy, you've never cared about me, not once. What are you doing here?" I rushed.

"Okay, I was going to make small talk first but I'm in trouble" she ran a hand through her now cut short hair.

"What do you mean? What kind of trouble?" I asked actually worried.

"After I turned eighteen I left jersey with this guy I had met. We went to New York and we stayed there for a year, I lived in his apartment for awhile but then we broke up so I was on my own." She explained as I listened intently. "I got some money together and moved down to Florida where I met this other guy. I thought I loved him but little did I know he was a scum bag too. Long story short we ran out of money and had to borrow some from a "friend" of his. Now we owe money and if we don't pay up they'll come for us"

"So you want me to give you money?" I asked.

"Yes" she nodded. Is she fucking kidding?

"So, you basically torture me for years then abandon me with two horrible people and disappear from my life for about six years and have the audacity to come back to ask for money?" I scoffed.

"Oh come on Mavis, i was a bitter kid stop living in the past" she rolled her eyes. "Just give me the money and I'll be on my way"

"No, you don't deserve it" I got from the couch.

"Mavis I could die!" She got up so we could be at the same level. "This is a life or death situation"

I shook my head no. Wow, I almost felt bad for her.

"It's just two thousand dollars, Mavis, don't be so stingy" she scoffed.

"Two thousand dollars?! Stacy I am a receptionist I don't make that kind of money" how could she have racked up that much debt?

"Oh please, I know Rudy and Mary are filling your pockets with cash" she crossed her arms over her chest.

"I think it's time for you to go" I said in a slightly shakey voice.

"If I die just know it's all your fault, you killed me just like you did mom and dad" she spat before leaving.

I sat on the couch with a sigh. If I was sixteen again I would've burst into tears, but I know that none of those things were my fault. Mom was a medical problem and dad was an adult who knew what he was doing.

I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"I hate your sister" Gray said.

"I know"
