Mavis's POV
Next morning...
"Try this" Grayson brung a piece of bacon to my mouth and I welcomed it taking a huge bite.
"Delish!" I complimented rewarding him with a kiss on the cheek. With a smile he turned back to the stove cooking the rest of the food.
The door opened and I turned my head to see who it was, Ethan came in closing the door behind him with a huff.
"How'd it go!" Eager to know the answer to my question I turned my whole body shifting my position on the counter so I could see him.
"She said no" he sighed sitting on one of the kitchen island stools.
"What? Why?" I asked feeling sad for him.
"Same as last time, she says that she doesn't think I'm ready and that I'll break her heart" he ran a hand through his hair grabbing a piece of Grayson's bacon.
"Do you think you'll break her heart?" Grayson asked sliding his arms around my waist.
"No, I won't, I know what I want and it's her but I don't know how to prove it to her" he sounded frustrated and I put my hand on his.
"Open up to her more" I shrugged. "Girls love it when you share things about yourself, not basic stuff like your favorite color but something big that happened to you, something that shaped the person you are today"
He thought on my words for a second. "I mean I guess I could do that but what would I tell her about?"
"Why you were so hesitant the first time you asked her out?" Grayson threw an idea out there.
"That was because of Rachelle but Raya doesn't need to know about her" Ethan waved the idea away.
"Maybe she does" I said. "Rachelle is the reason you are the way you are with girls"
"I need a shower" Ethan said softly before leaving the kitchen.
"Do you think I should talk to Raya?" I looked up at Grayson and he thought about it.
"No, it's better if Ethan talks to her" he kissed my cheek before returning to the food.
-
"Grayson?" I asked as I buttoned up my pants.
"Hmm?" He hummed in response as he tied his shoes.
"Do you and Ethan plan on living in this apartment forever?" I looked around his familiar room as I combed my hair.
"Haven't thought about it" he cleared his throat as he fixed his hair in the mirror.
"Well, we can't live here forever...this was just for college right, you guys are moving to a house soon?" this apartment was too small for the three of us, I don't want to make it seem like I'm coming here to change things but it's time to get a house somewhere out here.
"I'll ask Ethan" he shrugged fixing his shirt.
"Gray, why are you being so nonchalant about this. It's sort of a big deal" I hugged him from behind.
"Can we not talk about this right now Mavis?" He sighed and I looked at his face in the mirror. "Finish getting ready the movie starts at nine"
With that he left me alone in the room, why is he being so weird about moving?
-
After getting dressed, Ethan, Grayson, and I headed out to go see Crazy Rich Asians.
"Is Raya coming?" I asked Ethan as I walked hand in hand with Grayson.
"No" he shook his head shoving his hands in his pockets.
"Why not?" I looked up at him as Grayson led us to our destination.
"I didn't tell her about this" Ethan sighed, I felt him get annoyed with me as I continued my questions but I didn't care.
"Why not?" I pressed.
"Because Mavis not all of us have perfect relationships like you do!" He finally snapped and walked faster than us.
I looked up at Grayson and he shrugged. "He was like this the first time around too, don't sweat it" he kissed the side of my head.

Rayas POV
"I need a better job" I flopped on Kevin's bed.
"Correction: you need a job" he said from his desk chair.
"Yes I need a job Kevin" I rolled my eyes.
"So get one you lazy bitch" he said angrily typing on the keyboard of his computer.
"Woah, what's up with you?" I walked over to him looking at his computer screen, he was in a very heated argument with James....again.
"I don't know why he doesn't leave things the way they are" he sighed with his signature eye roll.
"He wants a relationship kev, he wants to feel like you want him" I shrugged and he scoffed. "What?" I looked at him.
"Ethan wants a relationship and you won't give in" he said.
"Okay that's different" I scoffed back sitting on his bed. "You know that James wants you one hundred percent, Ethan doesn't even know what he wants for dinner"
"So?" He turned his body to me. "James could wake up tomorrow and hate me, the future is unknown"
"He won't" I crossed my arms over my chest.
"How do you know?" He asked.
"Because-" I stopped, I didn't have a reason.
"Exactly my point, don't mess around with him, he seems sure to me but how long will he be sure before he gets tired of rejection" he shrugged before turning back to his computer.
I sighed laying back against the headboard. He was right Ethan would get tired eventually but it's risky.
"I'm going out for an iced coffee" I got up from his bed.
"Bring me one too or I'm locking you out!" He threatened as I put on my shoes.
I rolled my eyes with a chuckled as I exited the apartment.
The warm air felt nice on my skin, this summer better be eventful. I'm going to get a lot done now that I'm done with college.
I walked down the busy sidewalk towards the nearest coffee shop.
Just as I was about to walk in a little girl ran out almost knocking me down.
"Rose!" A woman about my age ran after her grabbing her hand.
"I'm sorry!" She apologized before pulling the child back into the shop.
I followed them inside and walked towards the line as I watched the woman sit the child in a booth with a bunch of toys.
Oof, I never wanna have children.
After waiting a bit it was finally my turn, I told the woman with the child my order and walked over to a booth as far from the little girl as possible.
I hate children, I'm not bitter or anything just I came from a family with more than enough children and I always ended up taking care of them.
"Raya!" I heard my name and I walked over to the counter to grab my drinks.
"Rachelle, Rosa drew on the walls again!" A worker shouted at the woman, who's name is apparently Rachelle.
Poor woman.
