"I'm so nervous." I gripped Jonah's thigh. "Hey," he placed his hand over mine. "We're gonna be fine." He reassured. I took in deep breaths. "Come with me." Jonah grabbed my hand and we stood up.

Our appointment wasn't until 2 pm and it was barely 1:40 pm now, we arrived early. "That dim room was probably just too much for you." Jonah said as he took me into the washroom. He locked the door.

"Yara's parents loved us, remember?" He caressed the side of my face. "And if not this baby, then the next one. This isn't our last chance. They'll love you Daniel. I've seen the way you look at our daughter. Any mother be happily allow you to adopt her child."

I released a deep breath. "Thank you." I whispered to him as he took me into his arms. I melted into his touch and took in the comfort. Jonah then buried his face into the crook of my neck and kissed my skin, knowing that it relaxed me.

"I love you." He whispered, his hot breath fanning over my neck. "I love you." I hummed as I shut my eyes at his touch. Jonah placed open mouthed kisses all over me, instantly making me forget all my worries.

"Okay, okay." I pushed him off. "I'm not trying to walk into that interview with a boner." Jonah laughed. "Let's go then." I kissed him one more time before we joined the other parents waiting for their appointments.

"Mr. and Mr. Frantzich?" A lady called out. We followed her. She took us into an empty room. Jonah and I took a seat. "There has been a change that I was told to notify you of." I instantly got nervous.

"You were supposed to be interviewed by two mothers, but one has backed out. You will only be seeing one mother today." My heart fell. "That's no problem." Jonah spoke up.

"What?" I said, devastated, as soon as the lady left. "There goes our second chance! It's now this or nothing!" I cried out. "Daniel please, there are thousands of mothers in this agency. Just calm down."

I was about to argue back when a knock on the door was heard. Jonah and I immediately stood up. A brunette lady came in, clearly pregnant. A man followed her closely.

She gave us a warm smile as we shook her hand. "Alright, Mr. and Mr. Frantzich, this is Esme." He introduced. After that, we all took a seat. "So we're gonna start off with just a few questions that the mother has and we'll see how it goes from there."

The man opened our file and set it on the table. I reached for Jonah's hand under the table, intertwining our fingers. "Why are you looking to adopt?" She asked us.

Jonah knew that I was too nervous to speak, so he took the lead. "We're looking to expand our family. We actually already have a four year old daughter who'd love to have a sibling around." Esme smiled with a nod.

"If you don't mind me asking, how is your financial situation?" I took a deep breath. If I don't speak then it won't look good. "Actually, I work for my father's company. I'm the COO of Seavey Corp. and Jonah does the same for his father's company. We're capable of supporting a child."

"Um— I can't help but notice that you keep referring to my children as a singular child." Esme added. "Are you not aware that I'm pregnant with twins?" Jonah and I exchanged looks. "We were not aware."

"But we'd still love to adopt one." I budded in. "I'm sorry, I'm only willing to give them both away to one family. I don't want to separate them." My heart dropped. There goes our chance.

"Do you know the genders?" Jonah went on, as if what she just said wasn't a deal breaker. "Two boys." She smiled. My heart sunk even more. I really wanted a baby brother for Yara.

"Do you mind if my husband and I have a word in private?" Jonah asked. "Not at all, go ahead." Esme nodded. Jonah took my hand and pulled me out of the door with him.

"Jonah, we can't." I immediately said. "But why not Daniel? This might be the only chance we get at adoption for a while." I shook my head. "It's too much. Two babies? That's so much work."

"Daniel, please!" Jonah begged. "Jonah, I'm doing this for you. After the first few weeks I'm going to go back to work. How are you going to handle two baby boys and Yara?"

"I can, I promise." Jonah said eagerly. I looked down. "Jonah... baby, I don't want to tire you out. This is so much responsibility. And you're leaving your job for this, how can I ask for so much of you?"

"Listen, Daniel." He held both of my hands. "I love you so much and if it were up to me I'd have ten more babies with you. I don't mind being a slave if it's for my family. I want to care for our children and raise them with you. Just think of how happy Yara would be. We've always wanted a big family..."

I stepped closer to him. "You sure?" I asked. "As sure as I'll ever be." He smiled. I pulled him down to me and kissed him deeply. "Let's do this then." And just like that, we walked in there and adopted those two baby boys. Our baby boys.
