Jungkook stopped speaking, he pulled the phone away from his ear to see a text from his father, who he believed was sleeping. The car slowed to a stop, the boy's heart sank. He thought, Just for a moment things could go smoothly. He read the text notification, not opening it to show the read receipt.
'you have no idea what you got yourself into, do you? we know where you're heading, we know everything. Don't think you're safe. We're coming for you and Jimin.'
Of course they would find out. Of course, this would happen of all things. If they had cameras they sure as hell would have something to tell them someone left the house at 1:00 am-
"JUNGKOOK FUCKING ANSWER!!!" Taehyung yelled into the phone and finally, Jungkook snapped back to reality.
"T-Taehyung, change of plans I need you to meet me at the police station asap... they know." he spoke into the phone before hanging up quickly and beginning to drive faster to their destination. Continuously glancing at his mirrors to see if anyone would be following him, he still gently held Jimins hand tight while the younger slept. His heart was racing, he was scared, but knowing Jimin was still right beside him at ease slightly calmed him though he felt his eyes begin to water.
Finally, he arrived at the police station to see Taehyung already there waiting, obviously panicking. Jungkook got out of the car and went to the passenger's side to wake Jimin. "Jimin!..Baby, wake up!" he whispered, softly shaking the younger seeing him slowly open his eyes, growing a bit scared as he realized he didn't know where they were.
"J-Jungkook?.. Jungkook?!.. w-where are we?! what i-is-"
"Hey, hey.." Jungkook softly cupped Jimin's cheek, "its okay.." He whispered before breathing in deeply. He helped the small boy out of the car before looking down at him, doing his best to put on his sweet smile which was like Jimins sign that everything was gonna be okay, but he couldn't hold back the tears that began to form in his eyes from the pain he was feeling about everything happening. Knowing how Jimin would respond to this, it broke his heart. "now I-I need you to listen to me okay? I have to deal with mother father now, to protect you..to protect us..so that means you're gonna have to go with Taehyung for a little while okay?... a-and we might see each other for a little while okay?.. but you have to be strong for me baby, you'll be safe and that's all that matters-"
"N-no! no! I d-don't want you to go!" Jimin shook his head, eyes slightly wide as they began to water from Jungkooks every word. He didn't want to leave the person who made him feel the most secure especially when he was feeling the way he did at the moment, scared, confused, and uninformed, he knew something wasn't right. He also feared he'd never see him again. "I-I wanna s-stay with you Jungkook p-please.. don't leave, I-I'm scared.. I'm s-scared Jungkook" Jimin began to slightly shake, tightly holding the hand on the side of his face like this was the last moment with the other. Jungkook still kept his hero smile for the younger though he was crying with the boy.
"I love you~.." Jungkook spoke before leaning in to give Jimin a soothing kiss.
"I-I love you too.." Jimin muttered as the older pulled away. Suddenly Taehyung rushed to the two.
"Jungkook I gotta take him now, I think I see your parent's car turning the corner." He spoke with an alarmed tone. Jungkook nodded, wiping his own face before wrapping his arms around the smaller.
"I'll try not to take too long.." Jungkook assured Jimin before pulling away. the younger nodded before Taehyung gently pulled Jimin away to his car so they could get out of there. Jungkook watched them drive out of sight, but was quick to head back to his own car to retrieve his laptop which held the evidence once he saw headlights drawing closer, very quickly.
He locked his car and ran to the front door of the building beginning to bang his hand on the door, "HEY SOMEONE PLEASE OPEN UP" Jungkook yelled, praying that an officer on the night shift would hear him. He only began to yell louder when suddenly he heard the noise of car doors shutting aggressively.
The door then swung open to two very concerned officers who were ready for whatever was happening on the other side of the door. When they opened it they saw a panicked young boy with a laptop. Jungkook saw two figures turn the corner of the building. "you gotta help me get away from those people. I need to show you something immediately and they're trying to stop me. P-Please, you gotta believe me." Jungkook pleaded anxiously.
