He looked at you like he was surprised

"How..how do you know that?"

"Took a few nursing classes" you answer smiling

He nodded his head still surprised as he tuck his under shirt and buttoned back his uniform

Silence appeared yet again before he continued his story

"I woke up in a hospital. Everything was silent. Too silent. I remember seeing someone I know put flowers at the drawers next to the bed but the second I opened my eyes he was gone. I opened the room door and everything was a mess. Papers, files, pens scattered everywhere. Blood and bodies laying on the floor. When I got out of the hospital, there were those bodies wrapped in a white cloth laying there. I went to my house to find my wife and son but there wasn't anyone. No blood, no bodies, nothing. That's why I needed company. I know my family is alive somewhere and I need your help. I need to know what's going on, please"

You nodded your head and looked to the ground almost as if you were ashamed for what the world has turned into to

"Simply? The dead is walking the earth" you answer as you looked up to Rick

"Walking the earth- what do you mean?"

"I mean, people are dead and now they're back alive eating everyone" you reply simply

He nodded his head in fear and started looking everywhere but your eyes

"Hey, I know you're scared and so am I. But we need to get out of here. It's only been 2 days and being here in the city isn't a fond idea"

He looked back into your eyes and nodded his head

"Yeah yeah you're right. You got food and water?"

"All packed" you say smiling

"Alright, good. I got guns and bullets just in case"

"You're a life saver" you say chuckling as you went for the bullets in the bag to take some for your gun

When you took the proper bullets, you reloaded your gun and put it back into its holster

"There are two horses in the back one for me and one for you, we're getting out of here alright?"

"Yup"

"Alright lets go"

You follow Rick as he takes the bag and swings it over his shoulder

When you both reached the back door, he opened it revealing two brown horses.

"Don't know why a police station has horses but okay"

He looks at you and chuckles as he puts his hands to give you a boost since the horse is too high for you

You smile and gladly accept it as he pushed you up the horse

"Thanks"

"No problem" he answers smiling

He went to his horse and got up easily as he hangs the bag and adjust himself on the horse

"You know how to ride a horse?"

"Raised by a damn wolf" you reply cockily

"Alright, Alright" He says lifting his hands up in surrender and chuckles which makes you giggle

"Just follow my lead, alright?"

"Sure"

His horse starts walking as your horse follow his. You met a few walkers on the road which both of you avoided successfully

When you reached pretty much the middle of Atlanta, both of your horses turned right into one of the roads as you both met a huge amount of walkers

Both Rick and your horses turned to go back but both of you got greeted by another set of walkers. When your horses turned front, you realized both of you were doomed

The sight was horrifying. The sounds of the dead starving to eat you. Starving to get a taste of you. The way they looked, it was horrible. Their clothes ripped, their faces and hands grey as their eyes were black and a dark set of grey, their mouths and teeth were black, the horrible sounds what drove you insane.

"Here!" You shout to Rick to go to the left side but also got greeted by a huge herd but this time, there was a military tank

When you turned your head towards Rick, you found the huge herd so close to you, it made you fall into the ground as the walkers tackled your horse and started ripping its guts out

You screamed in horror as you ran towards the tank Rick following close by

You both went on top of the tank and opened the hatch dropping inside the tank

Rick closed the hatch after he got in before any walker could've gotten in with both of you

You sat down trying to level your breathing holding your chest with both hands

Your eyes were glued shut not wanting to open to look at Rick

When your eyes opened, you found a dead body right in front of you, next to Rick

"Rick.." you whisper even you couldn't hear your own voice

"Rick.." you whisper louder as the walker came back to life

"Rick!" You shout as you got Rick's attention making him move away from the walker in horror as you got your gun out and shot the walker dead center in the head

The bullet sound echoed inside the small tank making you and Rick go deaf and dizzy for a couple minutes

You put your hands on your ears trying to stop the strong echoing sound but no use. You glued your eyes shut again for a few minutes until finally, it slowly started fading away

When it faded, you moved your hands from your ear slowly as you gently opened your eyes seeing Rick do the same

"Wasn't the smartest idea" he says smiling despite the small headache you both got

"It was in the moment" you answer chuckling

"Water?" You ask as he nods his head

You get your bag from your back, zipping it open taking two water bottles out and handing one to Rick and one to you

You started chugging the water until it finished not realizing you were that thirsty

Just about when you were going to say a joke you and Rick heard a voice

"Hey you"

You furrowed your brows as you fiddled with your walkie-talkie taking it out from it's holster

"Dumbass"

"Hey you in the tank, you cozy in there?"

You both looked at the walkie-talkie in silence not knowing if it was just an imagination or it was reality

"Hey, you alive in there?!"
