You and Rick stayed there for a while. No words exchanged. You two enjoyed the silence, the feeling of safety you haven't felt since Hershel's farm washed over you two the moment you cleared out the bodies, yet you couldn't get enough.

"How are things going on between you two?" You asked softly as you felt sleepy. T-dog should be up in a bit to take Rick's place

It was quiet for a bit "who?" He asked as you heard the tiredness in his voice. You stopped for a second, thinking if it was a good idea to bring her up to him or not since they haven't talked since he told her about Shane.

"Lori" you almost whispered her name. She was almost a trigger to a bomb, say it too loud and it'll explode.

You heard him sigh heavily next to you "I suppose you know" he whispered. "No I don't"

"I'm angry. Sleeping with my best friend? Blaming me for killing him? She knew who he was, she didn't want to admit it just because she was pregnant with his kid. How do you think things are between us?"

Even though you heard the tiredness in his voice, you also sensed some anger as well. He didn't change the tone in his words, you just knew he would explode one day.

"Me and Hershel talked about delivering the baby. There's a good chance she won't make it, Rick" you said truthfully.

He didn't know that, he didn't know any of that. It was best to keep it quiet for a while, but now you couldn't keep it a secret anymore. Maggie didn't know much about medical, but she knew enough. Although, she had no knowledge of giving birth, so she would be sitting next to you and Hershel handing you things and reassuring Lori

Hershel though, he knew a little of giving birth. He was a veterinarian, but he knew a few things there and there. You? You know the most about delivering a baby, but you had absolutely no idea how to deal with the baby if it had to be a c-section. You didn't know where to cut, what to sew her stomach with, how long will it take for her to recover, nothing.

"What?" He asked. "We thought it would be best if we kept it a secret for a while. You were all stressed out and leading the group, you didn't deserve to have another burden on your shoulders"

"So you don't tell me? Even though we're not talkin', she's my wife, I still care about her Lucy!" He hissed at you while he shifted to look at you

You sighed and closed your eyes. It was hard to keep it a secret not only from him, but from the whole entire group. You, Hershel and Maggie knew about it, you told Daryl a couple hours ago, and now you're telling Rick. Even Lori didn't know it.

It was hard, but it was the right decision. You didn't want Lori to freak out, or to Carl to go insane, or Rick to go crazy, you needed to keep it calm for a while.

"There is no hospital near by, I'm not a doctor I'm a nurse. Hershel's a veterinarian, Maggie's learning things from me and Hershel. I don't know everything Rick, don't you dare be angry at me"

You said sternly as you looked at him in the eyes. "Don't you dare be angry at anyone. Be angry at how things are, be angry at what this life is. I won't give you false promises or false hope"

He sighed and rubbed his face, going quiet for a long time "how much?"

You furrowed your brows and looked back at him "how much what?" You asked confused.
"What are her chances of living?" He asked.

You looked down to the ground knowing damn well it wasn't a good one. But if you're gonna be honest, you gotta be honest right there and then. "Thirty"
