Daryl went back for the group to tell them about what you and him saw, and honestly it gave the team more hope than they ever had in months
Of course it did you asshole, it's a fucking prison
You rolled your eyes at what your brain said and marched towards the prison even though Daryl told you to stay right where you were
The minute you stepped foot right in front of the prison the walkers that were outside the fences came right at you, growling and moaning while they extended their arms out to get a grip over you
You took the axe in one hand and the largest knife in the other, going into full mode as you killed one walker after the other, slashing its head right in the middle
There were about twenty of them outside the fences, and this is as you recall, the biggest number of walkers you took on your own without any help.
Sticking the axe and the knife both at the last walkers's head, it's hands immediately fell to its sides as the weight intensified, making you groan as you harshly took the weapons out
Your white shirt was now covered in blood and brains, not a single spot uncovered. It was already filled with blood before, but now you were literally covered in blood
"Thought I told ye' to stay" You heard Daryl's voice behind you as you heard multiple footsteps approaching
"And I thought I wasn't sixteen anymore" you remarked sarcastically, putting the axe and the knife into its places
Everyone looked at you, your face had a few splashes of blood while your shirt and jeans were just done.
"Are we gonna clear out now or..?" You asked as you looked at them. They exchanged glances with each other before making their way to the fences, trying to get the closest number of walkers inside
"How much?" Glenn asked as he lost count "about fifty" You said as you looked around. There were two fences, one on the inside then one on the outside and a large space between them.
The one on the outside had an opening to it "look" you pointed at it, which made everyone go there.
One by one everyone went inside, Rick being the last. Glenn immediately got a cord out of his backpack and started closing the fence
Everyone started fast walking trying to see how to get inside the yard, but found a gate a long way from where you all were and unfortunately, someone had to cross the yard to reach it
"If we close that gate we can prevent more walkers coming inside, that way we'll take what's out here" Rick explained
"Great, I'll go" Glenn said as he looked around for everyone's approval "no, suicide run" Maggie said as she held his arm
"I'm the fastest" Glenn argued as he looked at Maggie unbelievably "will you guys stop for a second?" You said as you felt your head ache from the sun and the low amount of food and water
"I'll make the run for the gate, Hershel and Carl, take that tower," Rick pointed at the closest one "Daryl, take that one, and Glenn, Maggie, Beth and T-dog attract as much noise as you can from that side,"
"Carol, you became a good shot, take your time we don't have much ammo to waist" everyone nodded and went their way, Lori going with Hershel and Carl inside one of the towers
"Mind telling me where I'm going?" You asked as you looked around "you'll come with me, cover my back" you nodded and sighed, taking out your previous knife
