When we all got home, we were all thinking the same thing.

"What the fuck just happened?" I asked. Ezekiel let out a small laugh at my comment. I smiled, looking at worried Carol standing by the stairs.

"What's wrong with Henry?" I asked her, sensing it was him.

"He's not doing very well... I don't think it's pneumonia..." she stopped herself from saying more and sniffed in. Her eyes were watering but she didn't shed a tear.

Everybody sensed worry. I looked at Ezekiel, his eyes filling with concern. I nodded at him. "I'll go check on him," I told them as I ran upstairs.

The first thing I saw was Henry, pale as ever, sweating, and breathing quickly.

"Henry?" I asked. He winced.

"Who are you?" He groaned, looking at me.

"It's Navy," I spoke a little softer.

"Who?"

I gulped. "Navy."

He furrowed his eyebrows, laying on his back as he shook his head. Irritability and confusion, first two symptoms can be checked off.

"Henry," I spoke softly, but even then, he cringed at the loudness of my voice. I lowered my voice to a whisper, approaching him and gently as ever placing my hand on his chest. Both his heart rate and breathing were quick. "Tell me what's wrong."

"This isn't pneumonia. I've had it before, this isn't it," he whispered, nearly about to break. His eyes were watered. He was in pain.

"I'll be right back," I whispered, running downstairs. I looked at Ezekiel.

"I don't know what's wrong with him, I haven't really looked at anything yet but I think you should call Saddiq. I know it's something bad because he was perfectly healthy and happy this morning, and when we left he only had a fever, now he's..." I didn't want to finish my sentence, but everybody looked at me waiting for more. "Well, this might be fatal. I haven't looked at much yet, but call Saddiq." I picked up my bag, slinging it over my back. "And whatever this is, it's probably contagious. I'd suggest keeping the little ones as far away from him as possible. If it's progressed this quickly in him, and if it is fatal, if the little ones get it they could develop his symptoms in an hour or two. Keep them down here, not upstairs."

Maggie nodded as she and Michonne went upstairs to get the children. I grabbed a couple things from Carol's medicine cabinet and then went back to Henry's room. I didn't have any symptoms, which means if I had the disease or if he gave it to me then I would've experienced similar things he is.

I grabbed the thermometer, slipping a cover over it and going over to Henry. "This is going under your tongue," I whispered, slipping it into his mouth. "Try to breath through your nose."

He tried, but ended up just holding his breath. The thermometer beeped and I slid it out. 103.2

I huffed, dropping the cover into the trash. I tied my hair back and slipped on some gloves. I asked him questions, he did his best to answer. He hardly had a voice, and I could tell it hurt to talk.

"What hurts?" I asked him in a whisper.

"Everything."

"Muscles stiff?"

"Yeah, neck and... back mostly," he closed his eyes, wincing as he swallowed. His voice was raspy and barely audible. He was shivering, despite him sweating with all the blankets on top of him.

"Headaches?"

He nodded.

"Vomiting?"

Nod.

"...is there blood in the vomit?"

"Yeah," he coughed.

"Lay on your side," I whispered as I helped him into his side. "I'm gonna look at your skin, okay?" He nodded, his eyes closing. I lifted up his shirt, and when I saw the purple and red blotchy rash, I had a feeling I knew what he had. I cut his shirt, allowing me to slide it off without him hurting. The rash was on his upper chest and arms.

"Can you tell me what 3 plus 4 is?"

"What?" He groaned.

"3+4. It helps me check something, just answer it."

"Um... 6, or 7."

"What about 2 times 0."

"...2," he mumbled nearly inaudible. "Where am I?" He grumbled, rolling onto his back, coughing.

"You're in your room, lay on your side," I whispered as I helped him up. He made a pathetic attempt to push me away, but his bones were too weak. I lifted up the trash bin as he puked in it. "Henry, you need to stay on your side, okay? I will be right back but stay on your side and do not fall asleep, keep your eyes open."

I stood up, taking my gloves off as I jogged down the stairs. Everybody was huddled in a group, waiting. I looked at Carol.

"Have you been around him all day?" I asked her.

"At first it was every half an hour, but then he starting throwing up and he wouldn't eat and I just checked on him every few minutes." She responded.

"Do you feel sick at all? Fever, chills, any pains in your neck or back? Headache?"

"No, nothing," she shook her head. I looked at everybody.

"Good. If any of you have that you need to let me know. I think he has some sort of infection in his brain or spinal cord... he's very confused and irritable. I..." I couldn't finish. I took a breath.

"Is Saddiq coming?" I asked Ezekiel.

"Yes... he should be here in an hour, what's wrong with Henry?"

"I could be wrong but it's inflammation in his brain or spinal cord, this is usually caused by an infection. I... I'm no professional, really. I'm just worried because if this is what I think it is then it's very fatal and dangerous. Like 24 hour fatal. But we can't let it spread, so if any of you have a headache or pain or anything or your confused or dizzy you need to let me know because this is dangerous, okay? I don't want anybody going near Henry's room, and Carol you need to down some Vitamin C supplements because once it starts spreading it's hard to stop it. If the disease leaves this house... it could kill."
