Ch. 22: Meeting

* HEI RAN's POV *

Our strategy was great. They'd show up at the meeting, offer the money, get the information and then get them arrested. It seemed easy. But for me... well, I had to lure this guys into this 'trap'. 

I called Guk Do, as Bong Soon suggested. She told me that they were high school friends or something like that. I felt like I could trust him.

- Guk Do- I said. - my name is Hei Ran, I'm Min Hyuk's sister. Theres something going on with  Kim Jang Hyuk. He is contacting some guys and we want them to get arrested. It seems like they are helping him to escape from prison or something like that-.

- O... okay. How did you know this?- he asked.

- Well... I was part of their group. But then I got out and told Bong Soon, who suggested calling you. I was never part of anything illegal. My job was to lure Bong Soon to a trap, but I regretted it and told everything to Bong Soon. We have a strategy, a plan. We are planning to offer them money in exchange for information about his escape plan. Then you can arrest them- I explained. - its illegal for a prisoner to contact this guys, right?-.

- Yes, something like that- he said. - text me the location and the hour, I'll send a patrol to you-.

- Perfect- I said. - thank you-.

I hung up. Bong Soon and Min Min were talking to each other. I didn't want to interrupt them, so I just left my phone at the table and stared at the wall. I was trying to relax, chill out. Tonight was going to be a difficult night after all. Min Min would show up and give this guys money, who knows how they could react.

- Hei Ran- Bong Soon called me. - its at eight p.m., then. Right?-.

I nodded.

- Yes, at eight. We'll meet up at the barn-like place- I said. - I'll send you the location anyways. Its far away, so you probably should get going at around seven or something-.

I was trying to remain calm but all of this was driving me crazy.

A few hours had passed. I was on my way to the barn-like place, I guessed that Bong Soon and Min Hyuk were already there. I prayed for it to go well. 

As soon as I arrived I checked my phone. There were two text messages. One from Bong Soon, 'We have arrived ' it said. Another one from Guk Do, 'We have everything under control '. 

It was good to know that everything was going right. One mistake, and it would be the end of our whole strategy. God, that was pressuring. I walked towards the group of guys. They were sitting on plastic chairs, they pointed one free chair they had saved for me. I sat down.

- So, our plan failed- one said. - we couldn't get Bong Soon to lose her power. What do we do now?-.

I didn't know what do do, say. How to act, basically. Its curious how I managed to (at first) act like a cute and simple girl around Min Hyuk and Bong Soon. How I could earn their trust pretending to be another person and hiding stuff from them and now, in this situation, I felt like i was going to explode. I couldn't manage the whole pressure of it. It was too much.

- Do you have any booze?- I asked.

- Hei Ran, we aren't partying here!- the guy yelled. - this is serious-.

I know, I know. But if I could just chill out for a second.

I heard some footsteps from behind me. I saw Min Hyuk and Bong Soon. I didn't know how to act. Again. All the guys stared at each other. They didn't know what to do or say.

- I've come here to tell you that I know what you are up to- said Min Hyuk. - you are indiscreet, it took me five seconds to know your location. You won't do anything to Bong Soon, or to my family. I've come to offer you money in exchange of some information- he opened a bag full of money. - How the hell is this guy planning to escape from prison?- he asked.

They all stared at each other.

- Come on, guys. Tell him! We are busted... - I said.

- He is digging a tunnel or something like that- they said. - he wants to get out to re-do this seven bride shit and also take revenge-.

I was feeling so damn uncomfortable. I wished I could just get out of the situation.

- Thank you- said Min Hyuk, and threw the bag to them. 

They were like rats with cheese. Being money the cheese, of course.

I walked towards them.

- Now Guk Do will bring his patrol- Bong Soon whispered. - it all will turn out just good-.
