Polar's Pov.

After about a week with the Gnasher pack, I was tired of the rules. Who would have thought my brother could kill all of the fun.

Well it's time to tell him, I'm leaving. I'm tired of his stupid rules. Now were is my dear no fun brother?

Looking around I spotted him, on top of his favorite rock. Walking over to him, I warbled to attract his attention.

Turning his head to me, he called me over. "I was just telling the elders about you." He said.

"What's with her scars?" An angry looking old male asked. "I was seen as a threat." I told them. Not quite all the truth but I wasn't lying.

"What saw you as a threat?" A kind looking old female asked. "My father, the alpha of my old pack." I explained. Here was almost all the truth.

"Why did he see you as a threat?" The angry male asked. "He thought I would take his title from him. So he attacked me, trying to make me too injured to ever be able to fight him."

"Brother, can I have a word with you. Alone." I say giving the angry male a hard look. "Yes." He says before standing up and walking away.

I follow him. He takes me to the edge of the forest. "What is that you want to talk about?" He asked.

"I'm leaving." I say with little to no emotion. "Why?" "I can't stand your rules." I growl.

"Well then, we'll have to announce this to the pack." We then started heading towards the pack meeting place.

Vitian called to the pack and they all gathered round. "Polar is leaving the pack." He announced.

No one really cared, they didn't trust me anyway. Taking my claws to my shoulder I slashed my new, tooth shaped pack mark.

Then I just walked away. I knew this wouldn't be my last time running into the Gnashers pack.

Leaving their territory, I headed off in the same direction I was trying to go before I ran into this pack.

By nightfall, I ran across a lake. The moon was bright, so I could see my reflection in the water.

Looking at my reflection, I could see the jagged scars littering my hide. Some new and some old.

I looked like an old battle worn elder, but I actually was only about 4 years old.

This is what an alpha can do to you. But his attacks toughened me up. They prove that I can survive.

Even if it's only for a few more months.
