A few weeks later.
Polar's Pov.
Heat. That's all I could feel. It felt like I was burning from the inside out. It hurt like hell! But it was that time of the year. Of course this wouldn't be my worst one, another heat was yet to come in a few months.
I hate this time of year! When my body burns and I feel sick. This is, what I like to call, heat.
So, it's time to go find and hide behind a waterfall for the next week. Cocking my head to the side, I listened for the sound of running water.
But I heard none. That lake seems so far away. It hurts to much, I can't walk that far and not being able to find water means I'll have to suffer.
But I better hide soon, my scent could attract males from miles away, and I'm not in the mood to deal with that at the moment.
Wandering around for a while, I smelt the scent of water. After searching for what seemed like forever, I finally found a nice and cold cave.
It had a waterfall in front of it. A puddle of water in the back of it, and it was so nice and cold. I wallowed in it for a long time.
Standing up, I shook off all of the excess water. Moving some soft moss and leaves around, I made the perfect nest to sleep in.
I don't know for sure how long I was sleeping for before the rustling of leaves awoke me. The first thought the ran through my mind was, a male has found me!
Getting into a defensive position, I was ready for the fight to come. As soon as he popped out of the bushes, I pounced breaking his neck instantly.
This green nuisance will make a perfect midnight snack! But how dare he scare me like that!
After crunching on his head for a bit, the tiredness finally kicked me. It was time to go back to sleep.
Rapping my claws around the compy body, I pulled it close and went to sleep.
The sunlight filtering through the leaves woke me up in the morning. The buzzing of the annoying bugs is what kept me from going back to sleep.
*growl* "Looks like it's time to finish eating this green nuisance." I whisper to my growling, hungry stomach before tearing into the compy's body.
Two days later.
The pain was unbearable! The cold water wasn't helping much anymore. But luckily no male has found me yet.
The next day.
The pain was messing with my head. I was seeing things that weren't there. Thinking nasty thoughts.
But these thoughts got me thinking, what if I did have a mate? Would he really love me or would it be a bunch of lies.
Like my father did to my mother. He said he loved her but it was all dirty lies. But she was to deep in love to notice.
To my knowledge she still hasn't figured out my father has been using her.
Another two days later.
Finally the end of my heat is near. Wait, what was that sound? *screeches* It sounds like a distress call.
Running out of the cave, I follow the call to its source. But that was a big mistake.
Walking into the clearing, I find two males. (This guy was to hard to describe so here is his picture instead.)
The other one was a dull gray, with a black spot between his eyes.
"I told you it'd work." The blue one said to the gray one. Then they started fighting.
After watching for oneish minute, I realized what this was. It was a mate fight. I had seen fights similar to this in my first pack.
The hormones and what not, had me analyzing them. Looking for weaknesses and strengths. I concluded that blue stripe was stronger then black spot.
When blue stripe that out a battle cry, I snapped out of it and ran like a sail back was after me.
(A sail back would be a spinosaurus. Cause you see dinosaurs don't know they have specific species names, so they come up with their own names for different creatures.)
After high tailing it outta there and getting back to my cave I thought about were my life is going.
What would I do with my life? I don't want a mate right now, but will I ever settle down and have hatchlings or will I forever be alone?
This is one tough ass decision!
