Polar's Pov.

Leaving hurt like hell. It hurt almost as much as it did when I left my mother and siblings. I wandered for awhile.

Then the heat hit me. It burned. Of course I couldn't hear or smell any water. I only took a few steps before I collapsed.

When my head hit the ground, I tasted blood. As I swallowed the blood, I could feel something else go down my throat.

My tongue! I ate my part of my tongue! "Hy meh?" I cried out. "Hy di I ea mi ting?" Wow! I sound awful. Wait, what is that?

The leaves rustled again. "Ome out." I growled standing up. But, then I fell again. Luckily I didn't bite off the last of my tongue.

Out strutted a handsome male. Scars littered his brown body. "Here let me help you up." He then walked over and put his head under my neck.

That helped me steady myself when I stood up. "Ank you." I stuttered. "Can you talk normally?" He asked.

"O." I told him. Dammit. Why did I have to fall and bite off part of my tongue?! "Let me see your tongue." He said.

So I stuck my tongue out. "Oh, you should be fine in a few days. You only bit off the tip of it." He explained.

I walked with him for awhile, before he took me to his den. Which was a cave. It impressed me. He had bones everywhere in front of the cave. Some huge skulls and leg bones.

He was a good hunter. I watched his eyes glaze over with lust, but he had self control. Unlike some males I know.

"My name is Scar. What is your name. It must be as beautiful as you." Wow! Scar is a real flirt.

"Ame's olar." Ugh! "Po lar." I then stuttered. "Your name is Polar?" He asked with uncertainty.

I nodded my head vigorously. Then he started walking around me, looking at my scars.

Then he took in a deep breath. Was he taking in my scent? Then he took another breath. Yup, he was taking in my scent.

"Polar, will you be my mate?" He asked. His eyes alone told me I could trust him. I nodded my head. I have a mate! Life just turned for the better! I probably shouldn't have excepted him that quick, but who cares?
