I show the train station attendant the letter, just as it had instructed. "Say no more!" Said the attendant. He picked up a phone. "Just take a seat over there, on those chairs, The train will arrive shortly." He pointed to a row of three yellow plastic chairs. I sat down and waited for what seemed like an eternity. Finally, a train pulled up, with the same logo as the wax stamp from the letter displayed just above the sliding doors. "All aboard the Smash Express!" Said the attendant. I quickly scrambled to get all of my belongings and entered the train. There were so many other people on there already! I found only one empty seat, right next to a beautiful lady in a futuristic blue full body suit. "Hi, my name's Isabelle!" I said shyly.
"Oh, hi! I'm Samus!" The lady responded. "Holy actual fuck, you are so adorable!" She exclaimed. "Take a seat, I don't mind." She continued. I sat down next to her. "You're a dog, right?" She asked. "Um, yeah, why?" She proceeded to put a hand towards my head. "Can i, um...-" "Sure!" I said. I absolutely love being pet. "Just watch the hair, please!" I continued. I gave her a warm smile. She scruffed the top of my head. "Wow, your hair is so damn soft! What do you use?!" She asked. "Nothing! It's just naturally like that." I replied. "So damn soooooft!" "Okay, you can stop now." I said, and she promptly put her hands back in her lap. "Sorry, I just love animals." She explained. "You're fine, don't worry about it!" I said, still smiling. My stomach growled with the intensity of a wolf protecting it's children. All of this tournament stuff totally got me starved. "You hungry?" Asked Samus. "Yeah, I could eat this whole train right about now." I replied. She pulled out a paper sack and handed it to me. "This is one of my pre-made lunches, you can have it. There's a turkey sandwich, some grapes, and a juice pouch." She explained. "Thank you!" I exclaimed while fighting back crying. This is the most kind anyone has ever been to me in a while, ever since the mayor left. Everyone always demanded stuff from me, and the most kindness they show is saying "thank you". She smiled sweetly at me, and I proceeded to devour the bag's contents, narrowly avoiding choking. Samus and I told each other jokes, stories and giggled like idiots for a few hours.
