I woke up pretty early. I glanced at my clock, and it read 7:58 am. Usually I'm up earlier... oh well! The tournament's today, and I am SO ready to kick some ass! Hopefully Isabelle will share my same energy. I walked across my room which was a perfect replica of my house, back in Village Town. I did a kickass vault over my couch to get to the room service tablet. "Time for some breakfast!" I exclaim in an over dramatic french accent. I order some pancakes, a glass of milk, and a side of bacon and eggs. In the meantime, a little TV can't hurt! I firmly grasp my remote, and turn on my TV. There wasn't much on, but that was to be expected. My food arrived earlier than I had expected, and I completely annihilated it in just a few minutes.
Four and a half hours of crappy morning television later...
It's about time for the tournament to start, I should probably wake Isabelle. Luckily, she's just down the hall. I walk to her door, and knock loudly. "Isabelle, come on! The tournament's about to start!" I exclaimed. A farmilliar muffled voice on the other side said "I'm coming!" And within seconds, the door opened, revealing Isabelle in obvious emotional distress. Her eyes were reddened, as if she'd been up crying all night, and the bag's under her eyes could easily have been mistaken for makeup. Her movements were shaky, and I can tell that something is off. She gave me that adorable smile of hers, and followed me to the main lobby where the announcements were taking place. What was wierd was, no matter how many times I tried to strike up a conversation, she wouldn't respond, just give me the occasional "Mmhm". Needless to say, this was extremely out of character for her. She's always loved talking to me, no matter what! What was EXTRA wierd was that she just had this blank expression the whole way there. The announcements ended, and I began to walk with Isabelle to her room. So I try to bring up the obvious... "Isabelle, are you okay? You're more quiet than usual." I say, with a concerned look on my face. "I don't know what you're talking about!" She responded. I hate when people won't just be upfront with their emotions... "Isabelle, please. You've looked like that all day. Your eyes have enough bags under them to create a landfill, and you haven't said a word since just now. So I'll ask again, are you okay?" I continued, hoping to finally get her to open up to me. "What the fuck is your problem?! I'm fine. Leave me alone!" She shouted. This really broke me. What would make Isabelle say all of these things?! My facial expression was akin to someone who just found out that they had cancer; completely terrified and disturbed. "Isabelle, I just-" "FUCK. OFF." Shouted Isabelle at the top of her lungs. She walked into her room and slammed the door behind her. Was that real?! This HAS to be a dream. Isabelle wouldn't say any of that. Not the Isabelle I know. I pressed my head against her door, to hear her loudly crying in her room. This was extremely unsettling, especially for Isabelle, the most innocent being in the universe. What was with all the hostility?! I'm gonna find out.
