Jeremiah, Francis, Alex, and Dave were moving slowly, trying to get home. They move to the side of the grocery store, hoping that this tactic will work. They notice the car. It is swarmed by walkers. "Shit. Did we leave anything in the car by any chance?" Dave asks. "No, there was nothing in there." Alex replies. "Still got the keys?" Francis asks. Alex pulls them out of his pocket. "Good. We can maybe use that to our advantage." "Advantage? How?" Francis smiles. "There's a panic button on there. It could draw more of those fuckers over there to give us more time to move." "That's good thinking." Jeremiah says. "Go for it." Jeremiah says. Alex presses the button and the car goes off. It draws more attention and walkers are moving to it. "Let's go." Dave suggests.
30 Minutes Later
Jeremiah, Alex, Dave, and Francis decided to lay down after they ran away from town thirty minutes ago. They were very sweaty and exhausted. "We almost there?" Dave asks. Alex pulls out the map. "Almost. Should take us about ten to fifteen minutes if we jog. If we walk, about thirty minutes possibly." He places the map back inside his back pocket. Jeremiah got up, ready to leave. "Then let's get right to it." They all agree and begin jogging.
Five Minutes Later
The four come across more walkers close by the woods. They killed what they could and left the rest to slowly chase after them. They were tired, but they couldn't give up. They wanted to make it home. Dave trips and falls hard. The others stop and Jeremiah makes his way to Dave. "Come on, we're almost there. Don't give out on me yet." He holds out his hand and Dave grabs it and Jeremiah pulls him back up on his feet. They begin to jog again until more walkers came out of the woods. "How did we not hear those bastards?!" Alex asks. "You guys head back home. I'll catch up." Jeremiah suggests. "Are you crazy? No! You're coming with us!" Dave says. "There's too many for us to handle. I can draw their attention away from you." Jeremiah begins stabbing a walker. "There's no time! Just go!" Dave approaches Jeremiah and stands with him. "We do this together. We don't leave anyone behind." Jeremiah nods and he and Dave stood their ground until Dave tripped again. Jeremiah lost his focus on the walkers and placed his focus on Dave. A walker came up behind Jeremiah and tackled him to the floor. More walkers were approaching. "Fucking shit!" Francis yells. He sprints towards Dave and helps him up. "What about Jeremiah?!" Dave asks. Francis looks and notices more walkers are approaching. Another walker slowly makes its way towards Jeremiah. "We can't help him! He's on his own now!" Francis says. "What?! No! We are not doing this without him!" Francis pulled on Dave's arm and pushes him forward. They begin running and they don't look back.
One Hour Later
It's 6:00 and still no word or sign from Jeremiah. The others have made it back. Dave and Francis were outside with new clothes on and wet towels on their heads. "I still can't believe you fucking did that, man. He was one of us!" Francis looks at him. "Jeremiah is a tough son of a bitch. He's smart as all hell too. You know he got out of there." "Got out?! GOT OUT?! It's been one fucking hour and all you can say is that he GOT OUT?!" Dave says while standing up with hostility. Francis stands up with a very angry look on his face. "I don't care if I'm older than you, boy, but best believe I won't tolerate that talk from you!" As soon as Dave was about to say something, Pete yells something that they can hear in the distance. They look over there and begin jogging there. "What?! What is it?!" Asks Francis. Pete is wide eyed and frozen in place. "Hell is approaching to our front gate." Francis and Dave look at each other confused. Clementine steps out wondering what's happening. "What do you mean? What do you see up there?!" Francis asks. He climbs up the ladder and grabs the binoculars. He notices it too. He climbs down faster than ever and begins to jog to the armory. "Where the hell do you think you're going?!" Dave asks. "To get our guns! We have a herd coming our way!" Clementine looks at Dave. "A herd? What caused that?" She asks. Dave sighs. "Earlier today, me, Francis, Alex, and Jeremiah got mixed up in things. We came across a stranger who damn near killed us, drew attention, and brought a herd on us. We escaped that one by covering ourself in guts, but there was another one heading this way. My clumsy ass fell and Jeremiah focused on me when he should've focused on the enemy.." Clementine's eyes widened. "What?! You just left him out there?!" Dave looks at her. "It wasn't my call. I tried defending Jeremiah but Francis shoved me forward and we left him behind." Clementine gives Dave a fist straight to the jaw. "You fucking coward! Don't you know he is the only father figure to AJ!" Dave starts to cry. "It's bad enough there was one body count today, there didn't need to be a second one.." Francis runs out with guns in hand and hands one directly to Clementine. "I'm assuming you know how to use one." She stares at him with burning hatred. "Yeah, I do."
