As Jeremiah raises his arm to block the sun in his eyes, he walks away to start a new life..

21 Years Later

Jeremiah, now thirty nine, wakes up all sweaty in the middle of the night inside his tent and he begins breathing heavily. He sighs and lays back down, hoping to sleep better.

In the Dream

"How could you abandon us? I thought you loved us." Clementine says innocently. Jeremiah glances over at Clementine and AJ and notices that she's still 17 and he is still six. "I did and I still do, I just couldn't be there." Jeremiah responds. "YOU abandoned us and got us killed! Look at your son!" AJ appears with a bite on his neck. "I loved you, Dad. How could you do this to us?" Jeremiah approaches him but AJ hides behind Clementine. "Stay away from us, you monster." "Clem, I.." "Goodbye Jeremiah." They begin walking away and AJ turns around and waves. "Bye Dad." He says. Jeremiah chases after them. "Clem wait! AJ!" He drops to his knees and cries.

Morning

"Noooo!" Jeremiah yells sitting up and looking around. He begins panting. He crawls out of the tent and unzips his zipper and begins urinating in the fire. After he finishes relieving himself, he zips his pants and approaches his tent and grabs his crossbow and Rick's python. He holsters the python and holds the crossbow. "Hopefully I'll catch something." He says to himself. He leaves his camp area and heads out.

At the Traps

"There we go." He says excited. He approaches the trap and takes the rabbit and stuffs it into his bag. His peripherals caught something moving. He glances over and spots a snake. He aims his crossbow and pulls the trigger. The bolt goes right into the snakes head. He approaches the deceased snake and begins cutting the head off. The snakes body wiggles with every slice. The head is finally off and Jeremiah retrieves his bolt and places the lower body of the snake inside the bag. He spots a bird in a tree and begins placing his bolt in the crossbow. He aims his crossbow and shoots. The impact of the bolt made the bird fall off of the branch it was on and hit the ground hard, causing the birds neck to snap. He takes the bolt out of the bird and places the bird in his bag. "Well, time to check the river." He says to himself. He proceeds to head to the river.

At the River

Jeremiah kneels over the river and places a bucket inside the river, filling the bucket up with cold water. "Gotta boil it before I drink it." He says to himself. The bucket is all full and he sets it down. He grabs the other bucket that he placed and sets it next to him and grabs his spear and patiently waits for fish to swim to him.

At the Camp Area

He begins taking down his tent and packing up his belongings. He sets his pillows and blankets in a bag and puts it over his shoulder and carries his tent. He walks off to find a new place he can stay for the night.

Two Weeks Later

Jeremiah stayed at a cave that he calls home. It was close by the camp area so he could still visit the river and take fish whenever he needed to. He begins making a fire and places his rabbit over it, hoping it'll cook. He sets rocks around the small logs and sits leaves and sticks inside. He takes out a lighter and begins burning the leaves and sticks. The wood and leaves begin burning and he sits down, placing his hands close by the fire. From behind, he hears sticks cracking and he turns around instantly and stares for a couple of seconds. He slowly reaches for his knife and takes it out. He stares into the dark woods and glances over at his cave. He sheathes his knife and turns around, facing the fire while scratching his face since his beard is itchy. He hears a gun cock behind him and instantly feels threatened. "Hands. Now." The voice calls out. "You don't want to do this." Jeremiah says firmly. "You're right, I don't, but I won't hesitate if you try anything." The dark figure glances over at the fire. "Give me what you're cooking there." Jeremiah glances over to the rabbit. "Fine." The gun still stays at the back of Jeremiah's head. "May I?" He asks to move. "Sure." Jeremiah gets up and takes the rabbit off and turns around and spots a young, black male with an afro and instantly recognizes him. "AJ?" He asks. AJ's eyes go wide. "I don't know you." He says while aiming the gun higher to Jeremiah's forehead. "It's bad enough that you got a gun pointed at me, but what hurts is that you don't remember me. You really think that's necessary?" Jeremiah questions. "I don't know you and I'm not taking any chances." AJ snarls. A shotgun is cocked behind Jeremiah. "Keep looking forward." A woman's voice calls out. "It's bad enough you got one person robbing me, you think you need to rob me too?" Jeremiah questions. "Turn around and show your face." The woman orders. Jeremiah turns around. "Your turn." He responds. The woman approaches and can be seen from the fire. Jeremiah's eyes go wide as he notices a woman with a D on her hat.
