"Holy shit. Oh my God, what are - what are we going to do?" Alex asks freaking out. "Shut. Up." Jeremiah says quietly. He slowly gets on his knees. "The hell are you doing?" Asks Francis. "Trying not to draw anymore attention. I'm also trying to think." "Think? What the hell is there to think about?!" Francis aggressively whispers. "There's a LOT to think about, if you would take your head out of your ass for once and properly use it!" Jeremiah responds. The walkers are approaching, but slowly. All they hear is moaning and it disturbs them. "I got something. Barricade the windows and the doors. If they hear the noises, then fuck it. We'll try to find a way out of here. They're dumb, we're smart. We can find a way out of this." Jeremiah says. "Francis, go block the door with a shelf if you can. Alex, go block windows with shelves. Dave, go to the back. See if there's an exit. If there is, leave it be. That's where we will head if things get too heavy out here." Jeremiah orders. "You got it." Everyone goes to their posts and does what Jeremiah ordered. The walkers are getting closer and closer. After five minutes, they got their jobs done. Everyone gathers around. "If things go south, I will sacrifice myself for you guys." They all look at each other. "But-" Alex says until Jeremiah cuts him off. "It's not up for a discussion. If there's an opening, I want you guys to take it. I'll hold back and hold 'em off as best as I can but after that point, the rest is up to you. If I don't make it, then you'll know why. Hey, look at me." Alex looks at him with tears in his eyes. "You will make it through this, buddy. We've been through worse. Alex, you're my best friend. I told you I was always going to protect you and anyone else and if that means I lose my life because of it, then I know I will be remembered and I'll be forever grateful that you will keep me alive in your head." Jeremiah gives Alex a hug. The walkers have finally approached the store. They bang on the glass, trying to find a way in for their meal. "They just - moan. Moan, eat, and smell like shit. They have no purpose. Nothing but undead burdens." Francis whispers. "I think I found a way out of this." Dave steps in. Everyone looks at him. "Well spit it out." Francis orders. "You know how they smell dead and we don't?" "Yeah, what about it?" Alex asks. "What if WE smelled like THEM? Drag one in here, cut it open and place its insides on us. They wouldn't be able to tell the difference." Dave suggests. "You mean to tell me to bring an undead fuck inside a place where we are safe, cut its stomach, take out its guts and rub it all over us while we tuck our nutsacks into our assholes?" Francis asks. "He has a solid point, Francis. This could work. That's great thinking, Dave." Jeremiah looks at the back exit then looks at the front. Jeremiah sighs "Fuck. If I bring one to the back, the others will follow due to suspicion. We wouldn't have time to cover each other. Someone would die." "So how are we going to get out of here?" Alex asks. "Fuck it. Keep them at bay here. I'll draw one over to the back. Just be prepared to hold your breath." Jeremiah heads to the back while the others watch them at the front. He opens the door and immediately notices one all on its own. He whistles at it, causing the undead monster to approach the sound. Jeremiah waits behind the corner and brings out his knife. The walker comes in and Jeremiah immediately stabs it in the head without a second flying by. He puts his hands out to catch the walker so that its body won't cause any noise and draw attention to their exit. He catches the walker and walks out to the front. "I got 'em." They all come to the back. They notice pairs of gloves and grab them and begin to put them on. "How did the back look?" Francis asks. "It was all clear but that whistle could've attracted more of 'em. We have to be careful." Everyone has a nervous look on their face. "This next part is gonna suck." Dave says. Jeremiah raises the knife and plunges it into the lower belly of the corpse and slides the blade upwards towards the chest. The sound of the blade sliding against dead flesh made a sickening sound that almost caused Dave to throw up. Jeremiah takes the knife out and looks at everyone. "Here comes the bad part." He warns. He puts his hands inside the belly and takes the guts out and rubs it all over himself. The others do the same. "I need someone to get my back. We can't just cover the front and call it good." Francis nods and approaches Jeremiah with a hand full of guts. He rubs it all over his back and they all do the same to each other. "We all set?" Alex asks. "No, not yet. We need our backpacks." Jeremiah says. They grab their backpacks and put them on. "Hopefully they won't notice this. You ready?" Jeremiah looks at everyone. "Let's go." Jeremiah opens the back door and they proceed to leave the store.
