Amelia had called Liz the next day to give her the good news but much to her dismay, the call did not play out as she hoped it would. Liz voiced her concerns about the renewed engagement, concerns that were never mentioned before. Lia couldn't believe what Liz was saying, "How could she say that? Wasn't she happy for us when Ethan first proposed?", Amelia thought as she made her way to her room. She didn't want Ethan to see her so upset.

That was the problem, she didn't remember the previous proposal and everyone's reactions. From what she gathered, their parents were more than happy with this arrangement because they let her go on the trip without a chaperone and Liz was fine with the idea of Ethan and her being together because she left them alone on the island. She just couldn't figure out where the concerns were coming from, if she had missed something about the whole situation and if she should be concerned or alert about anything.

Amelia felt angered and hurt, probably both, at everything her sister said and with the fact that she could not recall some of her memories. To her, Liz has always been her best friend and Lia knew that her sister has her best interests at heart. Her mind focused on her confusions, she couldn't figure out why Liz was telling her all of this, and from miles away too. Amelia clearly remembered Liz's words, "He'll get another chance, and I don't think your answer has changed. I'm sure he'll do it again. He loves you.", her sister's words were not matching up.

To get her mind off all of these questions, She called her parents in hopes to share her excitement with them, however, Lia did not get the chance to do so. The King and Queen's mobiles were unreachable and this scared Lia. She tried to call Liz next, to share her concern but her sister's phone went to voicemail. Amelia went to find Ethan but he was no where to be found.

Amelia then decided that an afternoon nap would help her feel better, after all, her family and Ethan were unavailable and stressing about things that are irreversible would be of no good to her.  On her return to her room, Amelia was stopped by Robert, the housekeeper. Robert Maxwell and Emma Maxwell, husband and wife, have been given the responsibility of the royal residence on the Island ever since King Henry's first year of ruling. They have become very good friends to the family and have taken the place of Aunt and Uncle in the lives of the princesses. The royal family knew that they would always be able to trust and count on the Maxwells.

Amelia's POV

As I made my way to my room, my mind was formulating a plan to get into contact with my parents . My brainstorming came to a halt by Uncle Robert. "Princess, are you alright?", he asked as I turned around. I took a moment to compose myself, "Yes I'm fine Uncle Rob and what did I say about calling me princess?" , I raised an eyebrow as I questioned him. Robert looked around before he spoke in a low tone, "Lia, you have to come with me, there's something that I need to give to you and no one else must see it.".

Hearing the urgency in his words pulled me back into a state of confusion, I could only nod before he led me to the shore. The sun was at it's peak and the saltiness in the air was refreshing, however, we were not here to enjoy nature. Uncle Robert handed me a sealed letter, "Read it without revealing your emotions.", he said before returning to the house. This entire situation was starting to feel weird. Upon opening to letter, relief washed over me only to be consumed by panic and stress once again.

"Amelia,-"

My father never addressed me like that before...

"Amelia,

Please do not show this letter to anyone. Robert has been given his instructions and I have also sent a letter to your sister.

We are in grave danger Amelia, you and your sister included. Last night, I had mistakenly overheard a conversation between two men. When they mentioned a family consisting of a King, Queen and two princesses, it caught my attention. They were talking about our family. They know that your mother and I are out of the kingdom, and that you and Liz are not together. They also know that Liz does not want the crown and that your engagement to Ethan is renewed. From what I gathered, Ethan could possibly working with them, but that is yet to be confirmed.  The only people who knew this information is our family, Ethan, Tate and my council members. There is no time to find out who is the culprit because right now, we need to get everyone back to the palace safely.  Please, my dear, watch your surroundings.
