4/11 Early Morning

I wandered into the school, listening in on some of the students' conversations. It was mainly about a transfer student, one who supposedly assaulted someone and attempted to kill them. But I knew that wasn't true.

I had met that boy before, at the castle, and he had good intentions. When I saw him in the Velvet Room I could tell he had been wrongly accused, and I knew he only received a criminal record because he tried to help someone.

"Uh, excuse me," I said quietly, entering the principal's office after knocking.

"Ah, yes, you must be the new student. Yuki Kan, correct?"

I nodded in response. Someone else came into the room, it was a buff man, he looked like a teacher. Probably the gym teacher considering he was an Olympic medalist. I had done research on him and the rumours.

"Hey, a new student? I'm Kamoshida, the PE instructor," he introduced himself.

"Kamoshida, why don't you show her to her classroom? Since you're here"

"Sure," Kamoshida replies with a charming closed eye smile. "Come on"

I was silent the entire time we were walking, but Kamoshida kept trying to get me to talk. I would only respond with a shake of my head.

We stopped in front of a classroom on the second floor and Kamoshida's eyes grew dark when he spotted someone. No one else noticed, because no one else was around, but I could tell he saw someone he didn't like.

He opened the door for me. "Here's the new student," he said to the teacher.

None of the students noticed me, they were all talking amongst themselves about the transfer student. Only one student bothered to look up, glaring at Kamoshida. The teacher told me to go sit in an empty seat and I did, ending up in a seat by the window, directly in front of a blond boy.

We stared at each other for a moment, but I sat down when the teacher got everyone's attention to start teaching. His eyes looked confused, like he recognized me but didn't at the same time. It was most likely because of my hair, it wasn't the same colour as it was when I was in the Palace.

I was also wearing glasses. I didn't need them but they did help hide my eyes a bit from those who do see me in the Metaverse, which was a very rare occurrence. It had never happened before.

I was worried that him and his friend would get in my way at the Palace. They were both strong, but not nearly enough to go head to head with herds of Shadows. They still had some training to do, they needed to get used to their Personas.

4/11 After School

I remained silent most of the day, no one trying to talk to me or asking me any questions. It was probably going to be like that for the rest of my time going to this school, or I thought until the blond boy stopped me from leaving the school.

"Hey, you're Yuki, right?"

I looked up from the ground into his eyes, finding a smile on his face. I held the books closer to my chest and nodded.

"You sit in front of me in class. I'm Ryuji Sakamoto"

When he didn't get any sort of response from me he tilted his head, raising a curious eyebrow. He opened his mouth again, his eyes momentarily looking over my shoulder.

"That's Akira Kurusu, he's the transfer student you probably heard others talking about. But don't worry, he's nowhere near as bad as people are saying"

Akira stopped beside Ryuji, facing me. "Nice to meet you"

"Nice to meet you two," I nearly whispered.

A head poked itself out of Akira's bag, one of a cat, and it started talking. I had to pretend like I wasn't even the slightest freaked out that the cat could talk.

"Why'd you stop walking?"

"That's Morgana, his cat," Ryuji explained like it wasn't weird to have a random cat in your school bag, or one that could talk. "So, are you new to Shibuya? Did you need someone to help you around? I could always-"

"Hey, Kan!" Someone shouted above Ryuji. I turned around and saw Kamoshida standing at the top of the school steps. "Did you need a ride home? I wouldn't mind, seeing as how you don't know your way around yet"

Ryuji growled a little and grabbed my hand. "Don't go, not with him"

I looked back at him but shook my head, walking over to Kamoshida. Maybe I could somehow find a way to make it easier for me to steal his Treasure. If he trusted me he wouldn't have so many guards blocking the Treasure when I was nearby. Although it would possibly make him think I wasn't a threat and I'd be unable to use my Personas.

Kamoshida smiled and led me to his car. He opened the passenger side door and let me get in, then went around and got in himself. We drove away from the school in silence, passing Akira and an angry Ryuji.

I asked him one question about the olympics and for the rest of the drive he was rambling on and on about his medal, not stopping until he pulled up into my driveway.

My house wasn't anything large, but it wasn't small either. It was an antique house, in a way. It was old but looked like it had been built today, meaning the style was old fashioned but it looked brand new. It was a one floor home, with an attic, and it had a full size kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living room, and even a back yard with an in ground pool.

"That's a pretty nice house," he said, looking outside the window. "What do your parents do?"

"Mom is a lawyer, Dad's an actor"

"How long do they normally work? Doesn't look like anyone's home right now"

"Mom works till 9 or 10," I lied again.

I didn't have any parents, Igor was the one who somehow found me this home and managed to allow me to live in it for free. He also got me anything I wanted, but I wasn't a very needy child so that wasn't much.

"That's pretty late. Anyway, be safe. You gotta be careful when you're home alone"

I nodded, got out of the car, and he drove off. I went inside and put my things down, going to get something to eat.

I had money, only because Igor gave it to me. He gave me everything I would've needed when he allowed me to leave the Velvet Room and become apart of the world I was born in.
