Third Person POV
It was finally prom day and all the Seniors of Francois DuPont were ecstatic, ready to become adults.
The doors had just opened, revealing the first couple of the evening, Adrien and Chloe. Chloe was wearing a very very bright yellow dress that flared out at her knees in a mermaid tail design, a thick black belt practically suffocated her around her waist, the price of fashion, huh?
Adrien had a nice black tuxedo on with, to his dismay, a yellow tie and pocket square to match Chloe's...eye-catching dress.
A few other couples included, Max and Sabrina, Rose and Juleka, Ivan and Mylene, Alix and Kim, Alya and Nino, and Marinette and Nathaniel.
Alix had a shimmery dark blue dress that went down to her knees, compliments to Marinette for making it, her pink hair was combed and straightened.
Alya also had one of Marinette's making, a great perk of being her friend, it was a full length turquoise dress with triangular cut outs on her sides, with a slit going up to her right knee, her ombré hair was curled and flowing freely with a braid crown sitting atop her head. Their respective dates had nice suits on with complementary ties.
Marinette's dress was full length as well. It was a dusty rose color that had a halter top style and lace. It too flared out, at the waist instead, with matching colored tuul tumbling around her legs. Fake jewels sparkled from her shoulders to her waist, all sewn on with the utmost care. Marinette took all of her projects very seriously, her friends' dresses receiving the same, if not more, attention.
Her hair was pulled into a updo, with a sparkly hair piece from her mother, and various braids going into it. A last minute decision caused her to cut the back of her masterpiece so her leg could stick out, the peg leg also getting throughly decorated in case it was seen.
The miracle oil helped the scars fade mostly, so she was able to cover the rest of them with makeup and body glitter. Nathaniel's suit wasn't hand tailored by his date but was still nice, the tie he had chosen was the same dusty rose color, and was slightly bejeweled. They were surely the couple to look for at prom.
She and Nathaniel took a few prom pictures before entering the dance. Everyone's eyes were on her, Alix, and Alya's dresses, a few girls coming up to ask where they got them.
This even made Marinette consider selling some of her designs, she decided to revisit the idea later.
"My girl, Marinette here made these 3 gorgeous gowns!" Alya shouted to everyone at the party. Marinette blushed and smiled nervously at all the attention Alya just brought to her.
"What are you doing Alya?!" Marinette scolded her through grit teeth.
"Getting you famous like you should be." She told the flustered girl like it was obvious. She groaned and grabbed Nathaniel, walking over to the punch."Sorry about her. She's insane." Marinette laughed, taking the cup of punch she was given.
"It's ok. I find it quite funny, actually." He laughed, looking at Alya passing out Marinette's number on small slips of paper."Oh god. What is she doing now? I'll be right back." The bluenette stormed over to her best friends.
"Hey, Mari!" Alix said cheerfully, giving Rose a paper.
"What are you doing?"
"Kick starting your fashion design business." Alya answered nonchalantly. Marinette pinched the bridge of her nose,"I'm not doing that Alya." She stated, putting her foot down. Fashion was Marinette's dream, she desperately wanted to become a famous fashion designer when she was an adult. Now all she had to do was find the confidence she sorely lacked for it.
