Marinette's POV

I strolled into school, pretty early today since I wanted to tell Alya and Alix about what happened last night. I saw them standing together at the front door and I rushed over to them.

Not to my surprise Chloe tripped me, but I didn't hit the floor. Instead a pair or arms caught me and I looked up to see Nathaniel's face. I blushed immediately,
"Th-Thanks Nate."

"No problem Marinette." He smiled kindly, a slight blush spreading across his cheeks as well. I stood and straightened my hoodie. I was wearing a plain hoodie with white on the top and gray along the bottom. My pants were normal black leggings, over the years I'd learned to dress to not be noticed.

But, Chloe always managed to make every second of my day miserable.
"So Maritrash. Have you thought of a way to embarrass yourself in front of the school tonight?" I gulped, I had forgotten about that talent show. What would a girl with no talent do?

"No?" She smirked. "I just can't wait to watch, and video tape the whole thing!" Chloe cackled and shoved past me, Alya and Alix rushing over to me.

I started hyperventilating, what was I going to do? What does a girl with no talent in her body do for a talent show? I found myself thinking again.
"What am I going to do?!" I asked my two friends.

Ring!!!
The bell broke me out of my thoughts. I hadn't listened to what the teacher was saying at all through class. Since I was practically having a slight panic attack throughout the whole period.

I had the rest of the day until the talent show at 1:30, leaving me with 2 hours to figure out the thing that would embarrass me the least. I picked up my bag that hadn't even been unpacked and wandered out of the classroom with Alya and Alix.

"Oh god." I groaned. Alix put her hand on my shoulder.
"I'm sure you'll find something. I'm doing a rollerblading act. Alya and Nino are dancing, you sure you can't think of anything?" I nodded sadly.

"Nope. But, I do have some good news!" I exclaimed, remembering what I wanted to tell them earlier.
"Oh really?" Alya asked me curiously. I nodded proudly,

"I got a date to prom!" I squealed. The stopped and looked at me for a second before starting to jump with joy.
"Yes!! I knew you would Marinette!!" Alya shouted, dancing around me. Nino walked over and laughed at the sight.
"What's going on over here?" He questioned.

"Mari got a date Nino!!!" Alya continued to jump around happily. Nino beamed at me and we high fived. Kim walked over and looked all nervous. I smiled knowingly at him, he was about to ask Alix out to prom.

He'd come to me earlier this week, and I was over the moon. I helped him plan a way to ask her, and he was about to go through with it.

He cleared his throat and Alix turned to look at him. I smiled and gave him a thumbs up. He nodded and took a sliver watch. She gasped and took it out of his hand.

"Um. Alix, I know how upset you were when Chloe stole your watch and now she won't give it back. But, I went out and found his one that looked almost exactly like your family heirloom. I know it isn't the same but, I thought you might like it." Kim said, scratching the back of his neck.

Chloe has stolen the watch out of Alix's bag a while ago and now we can't get her to give it up. Alix smiled up at him,
"Thanks Kim!" She exclaimed and opened the watch.

The original had a really cool projection feature in it, so I helped Kim recreate something along the same lines with Max's help as well. But, instead of the normal projection, some words appeared. She gasped and her hand flew up to her mouth.

Alix Kubel, will you go to prom with me?

She nodded vigorously and hugged Kim tightly. Surprising him, but he quickly returned the gesture. I was smiling like and idiot and bouncing up and down, Max, Kim's best friend and who was next to me and watching the whole thing, raised his hand and we high fived.

"Yess!" I squealed. "Another happy couple!" I sighed dreamily. Alix and Kim were blushing madly, "Don't try to deny it you two." I smiled and hit Kim lightly in the shoulder.
"Wow Marinette! Or should I say, Matchmaker Marinette!" Alya smiled. After a little more fangirling, we eventually all migrated to a nearby café.

"So are you doing the talent show Kim? Max?" I asked, sipping my coffee.
"Yeah. I've got this whole elaborate sports show thing, it's gonna be dope." Kim replied.

"No. I wouldn't waste my time showing off my talents. I will be observing however. What about you Marinette? Doing the show?" Max inquired.

"Well actually, I am doing the talent show. Though, it's against my will."
"There is a 100% percent chance that Chloe is the person behind this." Max stated matter-o-factly. We all laughed and I nodded sadly,
"Chloe signed me up and I have no idea what to do." I sighed and buried my head in my hands.

"Oh Mari. I'm sure you'll find something." Alya patted my back.
"Do you have any hidden talents you haven't told any of us about because you're too embarrassed?" Nino questioned with a raised eyebrow and smirk.

I shook my head in my hands. I opened my mouth to speak, only to be interrupted by my phone ringing. I picked it up slowly wondering who would dare interrupt my sulking.

My eyes shot open at the names on the screen -Call from Pea and Bunny. It was Felix and Bridgette!!!!!! The last time we called and actually spoke was last Christmas. I immediately shot up from my seat, put my peg leg back on and pressed the answer button, running outside and leaving my friends to be confused at the table.
