Chapter 14

Third Person POV

"Yes!!" Marinette shouted, bouncing up and down. Her hair was pulled into a side braid and she was wearing an off the shoulder white shirt with a pink rose floral pattern on it, the sleeves were cut in half so two strips clung to both of her shoulders. The excited freshman had plain black leggings and brown boots with a slight heel to complete the look.

All part of her "Fabloomus Flowers" collection, the name was chosen by her favorite cat, Chat Noir. she had taken a special liking to him because she related to his reasons for coming up with a secret identity.
"We're rooming together!" The bluenette had paid extra money to get a really nice suite for her and her best friend.

It was huge. It was just two rooms with nice bedding, space for decor, and private bathrooms connected by a nice living space with a mini kitchen and nice sofa. One had a balcony, that was the one Marinette had her eye set on. The bedrooms were on either side of the living room, separated by doors.

This was so she could have her own space to work on Ladybug things. Normally, she wouldn't use the Ladybug money for herself, instead giving it all to her parents, but she was ok with this since it directly benefited her bestie.

"Oh my gosh!! Yess girl!! And hey, didn't you get the suite with the extra money your parents have been bringing in?" Marinette nodded enthusiastically, yes she had lied, what else could she had done?

She checked her phone and sent a quick text to her boyfriend to let him know she was there. There weren't too many people at the college since they were there on the first, out of the 5 days, for the freshmen to move in and most of the other students already residing there from past years were still out on their summer break.
"I can't believe we get a suite!" Alya exclaimed, jumping around the lobby.

"I know right?! We're so lucky. Let's go unpack now, then we can go look for Nino and Nath." Alya agreed and they began rolling the cart, with all their belongings on it, to the elevator.

Marinette skipped happily beside the cart, pulling the luggage and carrying the duffel bag that wouldn't fit on the cart that had all of Alya and Marinette's decorations, clothing, and supplies. Marinette opened her mouth to say something else but stopped at the sound of a voice, and a name.

"Marinette huh? I've heard so much about you from Chloe. I'm Lila Rossi." Marinette turned around to look at the girl with green eyes, olive skin, and long brown hair with two too many elastic bands in it.

"W-What?" She stuttered, her happy demeanor vanishing at the sound of her bully's soul shaking name.
"Yes." The Italian girl began advancing towards the French-Chinese girl. "Like how you stole her trophy. How you're a stupid, ugly, fat, worthless, b*tch."

Marinette winced at the sound of the mean words Chloe would tell her everyday, like a ritual.
"How you like doing things you're terrible at and how you suck at singing. How you used to have a boyfriend. Let me see what else...?"

"Shut up Lila." Alya snarled, jumping to defend her best friend. Lila ignored her, instead walking closer to Mari, her heels clicking on the polished floor.
"U-Used to have a boyfriend? Nath and I are still together." Marinette said in a small voice. Lila chuckled,

"Oh, you won't be for long. Why don't you take a look in the courtyard? It's just down that hallway, at the very end take a left, you can't miss it." She smirked. Marinette's knees were weakening,
Nathaniel's breaking up with me? No way.
She decided.

She'd need to see this herself. Marinette loved Nathaniel, and he said he loved her. Old doubts she pushed away came back.
