Chapter 28

Marinette's POV

I'm partners with Adrien!!!
I screeched excitedly in my head as I speed walked through the hall, my blue flowy dress trailing behind me as I jumped into the elevator.

I had forgotten some things for History and I was rushing back to my room to get it before class began, and all of my friends were down there already.

Ironically, my history and math classes were made up of pretty much the same people as my high school class, those who made it in of course. I stumbled into my room and grabbed my bag, slamming my hip against the corner of the table on my way out.

I let out an exasperated sigh as I trudged into the History room. My cheek still stung and my lip bled into my mouth after being split by a little run in with Lila and Chloe outside.

I looked around and noticed Mme Bustier wasn't there yet, and everyone was standing around in clumps. My eyes quickly spotted my friends standing in the back of the classroom, Alya's face looked red as if she'd been yelling at someone.

To prove my suspicion, Nathaniel stood in the corner with Marc, looking down and rubbing his arm. I laughed to myself and began making my way to the top, without fail, tripping over a chair randomly placed in the middle of the isle, and landing right on my face.

My complexion was now a scarlet red as I popped up and sprinted over to my friends, half hiding behind Alya. Chloe, Lila, and Sabrina sashayed in soon after me.

"Oh no, now everybody is looking at me." I squeaked, squirming under the looks from my classmates, all of them fully aware of my clumsiness.

"Oh, Mari. It's ok." Alya laughed and patted my back. My face cooled down after a little and I was finally able to join the group, my back towards the front of the classroom.

"Then, he gave me a bouquet of flowers and new rollerblades!" Alix gushed, talking excitedly about her date with Kim last night. I awwed and clasped my hands together, Alya, Nino, and Adrien doing the same thing while Kim rubbed the back of his neck bashfully.

I chewed on my lip and my tongue licked my bleeding lip for the hundredth time subconsciously as I laughed along with Nino as he teased Kim.
"Hey girl, you good?" Alya noticed, examining my face.

She gasped and cupped my face in her hands when the red liquid collected on my pink lips,
"When did this happen? Your lip is split! Oh! And your cheek is bruised!" The angry brunette turned to look at Lila,

"That b*tch." She snarled, beginning to march off in her direction before I caught her arm with a steel grip.
"Leave it, Als. It's whatever, I'm fine now anyway. It wasn't too bad today." I reasoned, pulling her back to my side.

"Woah, Mars, that looks bad, maybe you should go to the nurse." Nino suggested, looking at my face too. I shook my hands in front of me,
"No! I'm fine. Don't worry about it guys." I laughed sheepishly and played with the charms on my wrist.

"Marinette, honestly, you need to let us beat them up for you." Alix crossed her arms. She may be short, but do not underestimate her strength.
"No guys rea-," I was cut off by Mme Bustier's cheerful voice.

"Good morning, students! Today, we have a two new students joining us all the was from Italy! Returning to France after a long time in a boarding school." I cocked my head and turned to see the newbies, I turned back to my friends before whipping my head back around.

My jaw dropped to the floor and my eyes darted back and forth between the boy and girl standing at the front of the classroom.

"Hello everyone! My name is Bridgette Cheng!"
