Marinette's POV

I threw myself onto the luxurious couch in the middle of my dorm. My keys were discarded and thrown onto the small table and the door was slammed.

I pulled my knees to my chest and buried my face into them, my tears soaking my leggings despite my eyes squeezed tightly shut.

My body shook uncontrollably and I drew in a shaky breath, trying to calm my nerves. All my depressing thoughts came back stronger and more aggressive than they'd ever been before.

Worthless.

No one loves you.

Ugly.

Fat.

Starve yourself.

Stupid.

Kill yourself.

You're nothing.

I knew deep down Nathaniel was too good for me, and that it was only a matter of time before he left me for someone else. I wanted to keep him all to myself, even though that may have been extremely selfish.

I sobbed into my knees, and shook uncontrollably. Suddenly, I had the overwhelming, terrifying urge to cut. The only way I had now, to relieve this misery.

I restrained myself though, knowing Alya would come and try to make me feel better. As if on cue, she burst through the door.

"Marinette?!" She shouted, running to my side and engulfing me in a tight hug. I openly cried into her shoulder as she held me.

I had become an expert at hiding my feelings, after having hid how Chloe's bullying really affected me, but now, I just wanted to cry into my best friend, who was here with me's, shoulder.

A minute passed of rivers flowing down my rosy cheeks into Alya's shoulder and her mumbling nasty words about Nathaniel, when a knock was heard at the door.

Alya slowly pulled away,
"That must be Nino." She told me, and I nodded, grateful to have my two best friends with me. She got up and opened the door to reveal our cart and Nino standing there.

Nino had some chocolate bars in his hands and smiled sadly at her. Alya kissed him lightly before letting him inside and dragging the cart in.

Nino crouched beside my spot on the couch and put his hand on my shoulder with a reassuring smile. He held up my favorite chocolates, milk and peppermint. I smiled at him and pulled him into a hug. He wrapped his strong arms around me and sighed into my hair.

Nino's POV

How dare this tomato headed jerk break my Mari's heart? He's going to regret this. With Chloe too? I mean, come on man. I even liked this guy and thought he was good enough for my Marebare.

He seemed like a nice guy and was uncovering a version on Marinette I hadn't seen before. She looked so fragile and broken now, her eyes puffy and bloodshot. I brought her favorite chocolates that always made her feel better.

Adrien kept calling me to see why I'd stormed out on him all of the sudden. I don't know why we were roommates, but I wasn't complaining. We got a suite as nice as this one Alya and Mari shared. I guess we had become pretty close ever since Mari decided to hang out with him.

Though, that'll have to stop between them now that Chloe's in our school. Hopefully I can still hang with him. He was my closest male friend, and I really love Alya and Marinette, but sometimes I need a guy friend too.
For now, I'll stay by Marinette's side, as long as it takes.

She helped me through some tough times, so I'm going to do the same.

Alya's POV

This guy! Did that son of a b*tch really have the nerve to hurt my dear Marinette like this?! Oh, will he regret that decision.

I paced the room thinking of ways to murder this tomato child without being caught. Nino took over comforting Mari and even brought her favorite chocolates for her, what an amazing boyfriend I've got.

The room Mari got for us is amazing, I give her parents props. Marinette was still crying into Nino's shoulder, I never realized how much she loved him. If Nino cheated on me, I'd be a hot mess.

I'd be the one crying, and Marinette would be the one hugging me and coming up with murder plans. I loved her more than anything. There isn't anything I wouldn't do for my best friend.

She helped me through some tough times, and never gave up on me. I intend to do the same.

Third Person POV

Once Marinette calmed down she sat in between her two friends nibbling in the chocolate Nino brought.

"Want me to call Alix? I'm sure she'll help us kill and dispose of tomato head's body." Alya suggested, trying to lighten the mood and not wanting to utter his name. Marinette laughed,

"No. I just want to be with you guys right now. Besides, she's not here yet and it would be a real hassle to hide the evidence in broad daylight." Marinette joked. Nino and Alya were relieved she was feeling better now.

She really was, but she only stopped crying because she didn't want to worry them anymore than she already had. Marinette needed to get out, and clear her head by herself.

The bluenette really appreciated her best friends support through the hard times. There was a silent understanding between the three of them, that they would do anything and everything for each other.

"But for real Als, don't kill him. Don't bother him, just...leave him be." Alya scoffed.
"As if,Mari. That piece of scum deserves everything I've got planned."

"Oh Alya. I'm sure he does. But, I'm going to be the bigger person here and take the high road. You two and all my other friends are in the car too, and you can't escape to join the low road."

Marinette said firmly so Alya would understand she wasn't budging in this.
"Fine." Alya grumbled.

Sorry Mari. I won't kill him, but I've got to say something.

Alya thought, sharing a glance with Nino.

Sorry Marebare. I'll try to keep Alya from killing him, but I'm gonna give him an ear full.

Nino thought.

Marinette knew exactly what was passing through her best friends' thoughts, but settled, knowing they wouldn't back down any further. She stood, wiping the stray tears from her eyes and walking over to her duffel bag.

"Nathaniel better not die." The couple smirked at each other, noting how she didn't say anything about screaming at him until his ear drums burst.

"I'll allow you a week and a half to yell at him as much as you want, after though, you've got to at least dial it back." Marinette told the two on the couch, fishing out her small purse, phone, and earphones.

"Ok Mari." They agreed, thinking these terms were slightly reasonable. "Where are you off to?"
"I'm gonna go on a walk and explore the school. I just need to clear my head and think about some  things ok?"

Alya nodded, understanding she and Nino were appreciated, but Marinette needed some time alone.
"Also, would it be ok if I took the room with the balcony? It's a bit smaller." Marinette asked, plugging her earbuds into her phone.

"Yeah of course! I'm scared of heights anyway, and we're on the 8th floor." Alya said, snuggling into Nino.

"Thanks! Also, don't look at your schedules or classes until I get back." Marinette wagged her finger at her impatient friends.
"Oh ok." Nino sighed. She giggled and walked out of the dorm, closing the door quietly behind her.
