Marinette's POV
I opened the door to dance studio 32. I had reserved it beforehand to practice my ballet routine that was due in two days, it was nothing compared to the last partner project we had, that I was paired with Adrien for. I set my ballet bag down along with my water.
Just before I came here, I grabbed all my things and changed into something more appropriate and less sweaty. I stretched out on the ground and scrolled through my phone.
Felix and Bridgette told me that the dinner was scheduled for 5:30 so I had about two hours. School began at 8:00 and ended at 3:30, each class being 75 minutes.
My new clothes consisted of a loose red tank top that had a cross design on the back over a black sports bra, and black capris. I had a pink sweatshirt over to the side as well, laying lifelessly with my other things.
After I finished my stretches, I slipped my pointe shoes on and tied them up tight. Sighing, I carried myself to the center of the room, waiting for the beginning of the song to play out to the part I'm supposed to begin dancing at. Then came the chorus, and before I knew it my body was moving and flowing to the music.
I must've gone over it one million times before I finally took a break. I was panting hard as I staggered over to the wall where my things were sitting.
My cold water slid down my throat, as I slid down the wall and onto the floor. I gasped for breath and leaned my head back against the wall. My phone read 5:00,
I've got time for one more run...right?I nodded to myself and stood up one more time, leaning on the wall for support and taking another gulp of the water. A long sigh escaped my lips as I reset the music and went to the middle of the floor again.
As per usual I went through the whole thing, except this time in the mirror I saw that the pirouette at the end looked wrong. I groaned and got closer to the mirror, spinning myself like a top, countless times until I couldn't get it wrong.
Geez. Terrible.
Ugh! No, that's wrong!
Nope. Tuck in my leg more.
I'll never get this right.
Worthless.
Talentless.
No good.
Suddenly, the door clicked open in the middle of a spin, startling me. I yelped and lost control, falling to the floor.
"Oh! Netty, are you ok!?" Felix cried, running over to my side as I sat sprawled out on the floor.
"Yeah, I'm good." I laughed, grabbing his hand and standing up. "What are you guys doing here?"
"What do you mean, Marinette? It's 5:25, you never showed up in the lobby. So, we called Alya and she said we'd find you here." Bridgette laughed, handing me my water."What? Oh my god! I'm so sorry! I lost track of time! You know what, I just have to take a shower and then we can go out, ok?" I threw my sweatshirt on and picked up my duffel bag, not even taking off my pointe shoes.
They both laughed at my forgetfulness.
"Send me the location ok? I'll be there in like 15! Ok?" I opened the door. "Ok." The two nodded and I smiled, bolting down the hallway to my room."Bye, Alya! Thanks again!" I yelled to my best friend, waving and running out the door.
Boom. 10 minutes flat.
Alya had helped me by choosing my outfit and drying my hair.I was wearing black leggings and a purple long sleeve shirt with two blue flower patterns on the shoulders. My legs carried me quickly down the hall and out the doors, plenty fast to even get past Chloe and Lila without them stopping me.
