Chapter 6

Tony's P.O.V

Clint had just caught her with an arrow after she dogged my shot. She ripped it out and I saw so many emotions flicker across her face as she fell to her knees.
"Sir her heart rate and heat levels are rising" My eyes widened whatever we had given her had raised the levels of her power.
"Everyone get down" I yelled into my com. I saw Clint duck just as she exploded. White light flared. Her hair turned bright white and her eyes turned golden. Two white wings flecked with gold appeared out of her back. She rose of of the ground floating up. After a few seconds it looked like all her energy had been taken out of her and she fell. Her hair turned back to black and I assume her eyes turned back purple. I watched as Steve ran towards her. She fell into his arms. Then he turned to me. "We better get going before she wakes up and is real pissed." At that I got moveing. I pulled two twin cuffs that should keep her shadows contained. And whatever the hell that was.

Tara's P.O.V

I woke up cuffed to a chair in what looked like an antaragation room. I looked up to see myself alone. Did they really think these cuffs could hold me?
"They should hold you just fine" said a voice from the door. I looked up to see Fury.
"Nothing can hold me" I said looking at him. "Especially after you left me to HYDRA" at that I saw hurt flicker across his face but it was gone in a split second.
"I'm not here to talk about that right now." I raised my brow at him. Does he really think that we can not talk about that? "I'd like for you to join the Avengers innovative."
"No" I won't help him after what he did to me. At that he stood up and left. After five minutes of sitting Captain America walked in. I looked at him and frowned.
"Hello my name's Steve" he held out his hand and I scowled at him. I looked down there was no way for me to shake his hands while I was handcuffed. I yanked my hands and looked at him. "Oh I'm sorry" he blushed I forced myself not to laughter at the sight. After he sat we sat in silence for a good ten minutes until he quietly asked me "why don't you want to join the Avengers?" I looked at him. It wasn't that I had anything against the Avengers it was more like who was running them. SHEILD was corrupt. Fury was corrupt. There organization was supposed to help people and they left me and my mother in the hands of HYDRA. I heard a scratch of a chair and saw Steve run out the door. That is until I looked down at my hand and saw my handcuffs in a melted pile underneath my hands. My hair that went past my shoulders was white instead of its regular black.

Steve's P.O.V

"Why don't you want to join the Avengers?" She just looked at me. So many emotions crossed her face. So much sadness and anger. It was like she glowed with power. She looked up at me and much to my surprise her eyes were gold.
"Get out of there now!" Yelled Tony. At that I turned and ran to the door. Just as the door closed I heard a female scream. It broke my heart. I ran over to the one way glass to see Tony looking at the glass completly awed by the sight in front of him. She was glowing gold and white. Two wings were spread out behind her. Her eyes looked forward like she couldn't see anything. Then everything seemed to leak out of her and she sank back into her seat and passed out.
"What is she?" Why can she suddenly control light?
"I don't know"
