Chapter 14

Barren POV

I just finished telling them about Darth Plagueis. They all had mix fillings about the story.

Qrow: sounds like a made up fairy tale
Barren: is up to you Qrow
Ozpin: mr Barren, can you please follow me
Barren: fine

I then followed Oz to elevator and he pressed the button to the basement. It took us like a minute to get there. There was an awkward silence so I tried to brake it.

Barren: so Ironwood
Ironwood: yes?
Barren: I have no problem you having your army here but if something happens...I'm taking control over the kingdom
Ironwood: you can't do tha-
Ozpin: actually he can...I've told them to use any mean necessary to protect the kingdom
Ironwood: this have to be a joke
Glynda: I'm afraid not

The the doors opened and I was met with a giant and long hallway. Then we started walking and after sometime I a saw this girl that it looked like she was in a cryogenic state. She looked so peaceful.

Ozpin: this Lord Barren is Amber...she was attacked and her powers got stolen...well, at least half of it
Barren: I see, and the thug is looking for the other half if I'm not mistaken
Qrow: yup
Ozpin: I know this is hard to understand but we need people like you in-
Barren: I'm in
Ozpin: I know people say no at first but...wait? Your in?
Barren: Yea, heck, I'll even throw a few Paladin Imperial Guards in here
Ironwood: you know not anyone can be here right? If any information got to the public we'll be ruined
Barren: that's why their not anybody, they are the top of my soldiers, not as better as a clone commando but still
Glynda: I still don't trust on those clones
Barren: they aren't

Then they all looked at me with curiosity of what I just said.

Ozpin: then what are they?
Barren: Faunus...some of them Wolfs and others cheetahs
Ironwood: of course, your a genius, pack hunting animals use as the top elite
Barren: thank you...and the best part is they are only loyal to me, their first mission was to exterminate a White fang outpost
Ironwood: if you keep doing that people are gonna paint your army as racist
Barren: but Ironwood my troops are not killing the Faunus, they are killing each other, look at the girl in team Rwby, a Faunus hiding in plain sight she has already have her fair share in the invasion
Ozpin: I know, a sad world we live in...so Lord Barren, how much time until you can post a few Guards in here?
Barren: you tell me? How many you want?

He then looked around the room and then looked at me. He then took his scroll and opened an app and then closed it.

Ozpin: tell me...how much can I buy with this

I then got a message in my scroll and I opened it up. I was surprised by the amount he was willing to give up.

Barren: Oz where you get so much money from?
Ozpin: just answer me the question
Barren: 10
Ozpin: then get them as soon as you can
Barren: that's not a problem

Then from far away we heard the march of 5 men. When we looked at them it was 5 Royal Guards.

Barren: there you go Oz, the other 5 are on their way, they will be station on your office and for the same price I can sell 2 shadow Guards
Ozpin: elaborate
Barren: personal guard that can double as an assassin, no trace and clean
Ozpin: I think I'll pass, but thank you Barren, I think we should get going now

We then started walking off while the Royal Guards stayed. Once we made it to the lobby me and Ironwood got out. When everyone was gone Ironwood approached me and gave me a number. He then kept walking and then I took a look at the paper. It had a number and it said shadow.
